JazzyJersey Sun, February 8th, 2004, 08:40 PM How can I suck this crap down? It's like drinking breast milk and chalk. what brand are you using? Are you mixing with milk or water? Try adding some fresh or frozen fruit (e.g., strawberries, cherries) with your shake. Enjoy! P.S. How do you know what breast milk tastes like? ibrewale Sun, February 8th, 2004, 08:47 PM Try putting it in the blender it with 1 cup skim milk and about 1/2 cup ice...and try those fruit that JazzyJersey mentioned....makes for a pretty decent shake. And like JazzyJersey, I'm kind of wondering about the breast milk...watch out for that in the diet, lost of fat! rhelt100 Mon, February 9th, 2004, 06:43 AM How can I suck this crap down? I enjoy drinking it. haven97 Mon, February 9th, 2004, 07:46 AM I drink mine pretty quick with water but I dont notice the taste any more. It has always tasted good in milk to me. But when I'm sick of it all together I put it in a blender with 3-4 cubes of ice 1 - 1.5 cups of milk and 1-2 tbsp peanut butter. I use Optimum Nutrition Choclate I cant wait to get my Optimum Nutrition Chocolate Mint because I keep hearing such good things about it. While I can't say I experienced your example I can certainly sympathize with the emotion. My wife and I bought the minumum servings of as many different kinds that met the minimum dietary requirements, all chocolate. Listed from most expensive to least expensive. The results were as follows: Myoplex Deluxe (pre-mixed) - Great taste but at $2.50 a serving...not. Myoplex Deluxe Powder - Good taste, to thick when made with milk or soy. Myoplex Powder - Good taste, not as good as Deluxe. Myoplex Lite - To medicinal tasting, whether mixed with water, soy, or milk. Optimum Nutrition Pro Complex - Could barely choke it down (no matter what) Next Nutrition Designer Protein - Bleh with water, good with milk, good with soy. Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Protein (Natural) - Haven't tried water or soy, but it was good with milk, perhaps a bit watery. (Water test tomorrow) It so far has been the favorite with wife (because of taste) and me (because of cost at $.60 a serving.) teencraft Mon, February 9th, 2004, 11:21 PM Hey all thanks for your suggestions, I'll be SURE to try some tomorow. But are there any foods (i.e. Juice) that will cancel out the effects of the protein? P.S. Once my grandma made my cousin and I feed my uncles' daughter and my cousin squirted some in my mouth. I liked it but I hate drinking 8 oz. of it. ibrewale Thu, February 12th, 2004, 02:09 PM Try this with the Vanilla Powder if you like coffee at all: The normal Shake, 1 cup skim milk, ice, vanilla powder, and add 1 teaspoon of instant coffee, if you don't like the cafeine, try decaf. I did this today and it tasted great! Jerry |
