I am looking to purchase a home gym. I looked at Vectra 1850. Like it. Is there anything out there that will enable me to have a full body workout? I am just trying to get fit that is all. No fancy stuff.

I read an article in Men's Health that talked about Prospot P-600 being their pick. But this one doesn't look like it can work all parts of the body.

Any opinions are appreciated.

I don't really see why you'd think power rack or a pro-spot wouldn't give you a full-body workout. The prospot is just a fancy power rack. squats, deads, bench press, military press, bicep curl, chins, dips, you name it. free weights all the way.

Learning from my own mistakes - - I'd suggest you take pencil and paper and write down a workout schedule, listing all the muscle groups and exercises you plan to use to train each one, first. There are lots of internet sources for this, lots of paper ones, too. I like having a book or two around for guidance myself. Try out various exercises at a gym or store. If a store cannot accomodate you, find another store. In my neighborhood, this pretty much rules out the big discount chains.

Second, measure your space available.

Third, get started with your plan

Fourth, remember that no plan survives the first contact with the enemy. Your needs will change.

There is no muscle you cannot train with free weights, as others have said. Some machines make life easier.
