that's my idea, lieing to others is always harder than lieing to yourself!

Good luck with it, i started on the 13th hopefully by next year we can compare results :)

Are you using mayo in your tuna fish sandwich? If so: drop it. A macronutrient breakdown would also be helpful in checking your daily intake (microsoft excel makes it very easy). Otherwise, it looks good...... keep it up!

Jingo- thanks for the wishing of luck...I will probably need it since this will be my 2nd time to try and get in shape. The first one I was able to get down to 205lb but wasnt lifting weights so i was probably losing muscle...and also good luck with your journey.

Never_enough---I have not been putting mayo on the tuna fish so that will be pretty easy to drop ;) ....my nutrient break down is about 250-300g of protein, 100-150g carbs, 50-60g of fat.

you sound a lot like me! hehe

around march 02 i decided to get fit, lost about 15lb and did stick with it for a good while, but i was back to being a slob by christmas, a year later and i've put that 15 back on and another 15 on top.

Weights are good and bad, in reality they're good, becuase they do help you lose weight, but it can be frustrating to get on the scales and have not lost much actual weight due to gaining muscle, even tho you keep telling yourself you have lost fat, if not actually lost weight

I have been at a plateau for about 3 weeks now and during my weekend carb loading (lots of beer and liquor) phase, I was doing a lot of research on this keto diet that is going around. I started it on monday and have broke my plateau of 217lb....I am down to 214 in 3 days. And on this diet your body burns fats, either from your meals or when that runs out it switches over to body fat. I checked this morning with ketostix and i am in ketosis right now. My meals for today are:

Meal 1: 3 Whole Eggs, 5 pieces of Turkey Bacon, and a 1/4 cup of pistachios
Protein= 31g, Carbs= 7.5g, Fat = 33g, for a total of 463 calories.

Meal 2: 4 Eggs, 1/4 cup of cheese
Protein=31g, Carbs= 5g, Fat= 27g, for a total of 387 Calories.

Meal 3: 1/2 Tuna Bag (the kind that is pre-drained), 1 tbsp Olive Oil, 1/4 cup of cheese,
Protein= 31.5g, Carb=1g, Fat= 24g, Total Calories= 344

Meal 4: 1 chicken Breast, 1 tbsp Olive Oil, Veggies
Protein= 34g, C=Minimal from Veggies, Fat= 17.5g, Total Calories= 293.5

Meal 5:Metrx Protein Drink (Post Workout)
Protein= 25g, Carb= 19g, Fat= 3g, Total Calories= 203

Meal 6: Salmon, 1/2 Cup Pistachios, Veggies
Protein= 32g, Carb= 11g, Fat= 20g, Total Calories= 352

I also take Flaxseed Oil after Meals 1 and 3

Totals= 184.5g Protein = 738 Calories
124.3g Fat = 1118.7 Calories
43.5g Carb = 174 Calories
2030.7 Calories/Day
