Hi all, i am 17, and weigh about 150 pounds, at the moment i have an excess of fat that i want to get rid of, makes me feel down when i see myself and i have the determination to get rid of it.

For the past 2 weeks i have been eating very cleanly, stuff like salmon, tuna, chicken, nimble bread, veggies, etc... and i have been aiming for a 40/40/20 ratio for fat loss.

I usually do morning cardio on sat and sun and vary my cardio through the week and also a little weight lifting in the week too.

I came to add up my macronutrients for the first time today and to my amazement my carbs made up 65% of my diet, i personally think this is too high if i am striving for fat loss, it came of a bit of a suprise as i have been aiming for 40/40 protein and carbs and i have made a big error.

I do eat a lot of bread and i have weetabix on a morning.

Can anyone tell me any good protein sources that i can replace some of the carbs with, preferably protein that makes u feel like you have had something substantial to eat.

Many thanks all

Gaz.

For protein i usually have cottage cheese, eggs w/ somthing, squid, scallops, flounder, tuna, kashi golean bar (i love them), kashi Golean cereal (love it!), I usually take a boneless chicken breast season it and slice it into strips, stick it into the broiler and crisp it up (comes out awesome. Turkey chop meat, 90% lean chop meat, lean steak, turkey sausages, ham, beef jerky, (cottage cheese, banana, 2% milk, ice, 2glasses water, whey choloclate protein powder, splenda or equal in a blender) Sliced turkey breast, yogurt with protein powder, cottage cheese w/protein powder.

I've switched over to the CKD diet which is a form of Low carb diet see it here: http://www.c-k-d.com/forums/
I'm just really senitive to carbs..so I need to keep mine below 30 aday..

I lost 38lbs last year on Atkins but gained most of it back through the holidays.. So this time I want to do it right.. so I'm working out this time but I feel I need to still keep the carbs down..

http://www.kashi.com/

It's a North American product; however, you can order their products online.
