I just thought that I'd throw a new thread up regarding CytoSport's Muscle Milk. I started using their EvoPro about a month or so ago, and liked it enough to decide to give their Muscle MIlk a run. This came very highly recommended, so I'm looking forward to seeing how things work out. I ordered the Vanilla, Cookies' n Cream, Strawberry Banana, and Pineapple Banana, and that showed up at work this morning. I got to try a couple of their flavors beforehand, from samples I had received, and thought the taste was right up there with the best.
I guess we'll see...

Oh...I also grabbed some of their Melon Patch EvoPro, because when I tried the sample, it tasted like Cantalope...I was getting bored with chocolate, and vanilla...

Two days using this stuff. I know not to expect to see physical changes in relation to protein/mrp use in the short term sense. Plus I've had this nasty kink in my neck for going on the second day now...meaning, no training. First night, I tried the pineapple banana with water...VERY TASTY. Lat night I was in no mood to be cooking or even warming up food, so I tried mixing up the pineapple banana with some milk, as suggested...OMFG!!! This stuff just passed Beverly as my favorite tasting powdered supplement. I can't wait to try the strawberry banana, and the cookies' n cream.
Actually, I'll be happiest when my neck stops bothering me so I can get back to training...

My wife and I both really like this stuff. So far we've tried vanilla, blueberry, cookies and creme, and chocolate. We like the vanilla and blueberry the best. We didn't care for the cookies and creme, and liked the chocolate even less. (I'm sure we're in a minority here. :D )

I opened the Strawberry Banana last night....mmmmmmmmmmmmm...
Your comments on the Cookies' n Cream are a little discouraging, since I have an unopened container, but then different people like different things. My neck is still proving to be a "pain in the neck", and I've avoided training all week so far. I've been using the Muscle Milk as an MRP, but I think that I'm going to switch back to EvoPro, and Udo's as my daily filler, until I'm back lifting again. It's pretty difficult to judge effectiveness of a supplement if I'm not actually lifting. Taste wise...the stuff is awesome, but what I really want to see for myself is, exactly why it came so highly recommended, from everybody that's used it.
I've had great experiences with Cytomax back in my mountain biking days, so I'm pretty confident that this product will also be a winner.

I was wondering whever anyone tried the Cytosport Whey Protein (not muscle milk).

For 25 dollars you can get a 5 lb cytosport whey protein, or for 26 dollars a 2.48 muscle milk.

What do you guys think I should buy? Is the cytosport whey protein tasty/good?
Thanks

I use their EvoPro@$24.95 (http://www.dpsnutrition.net/product_information.asp?number=CT052&back=yes&dept=1034&last=1034) for 2.25lbs, which is 32 servings. I REALLY like it because of its micellar caseins,(not a cheap protein) and glutamine peptides. Basically it's the same protein that's in Muscle Milk.
Muscle Milk is $19.99 (http://www.dpsnutrition.net/product_information.asp?number=CT048&back=yes&dept=1034&last=1034) for 2.48lbs, which is 15 servings. Though...keep in mind that Muscle Milk has a few more goodies in it to help with growth, that EvoPro doesn't. (such as IGF1) I was just informed by the guys out at CytoSport that the best way to use Muscle Milk, is PWO, and once more at about 12 hours before/after that shake. Just to keep it running through your system.(I'm gonna have a hard time breaking away from SURGE  ) EvoPro is also a great bedtime protein. Give CytoSport (http://www.cytosport.com/) a shout, and they can answer any questions you might have. That would be the single best piece of advice to anybody thinking about starting on a new product. Call the company, and ask them the way that their product should be used to optimise results. (ok...so I waited till 5 shakes later. It's still better than waiting 20-30 shakes, and saying it did nothing.)
Both the EvoPro, and Muscle Milk taste unbelievable.

I wanted to add that I purchased CytoSport's Muscle Milk today. I love the taste!!! After trying so many different brands of protein, Muscle Milk is finally the one that I can stomach. I had a couple of questions about the supplement though. First off, is there creatine in there? The front of the label mentions Creatine GCC, but I was confused about what that meant. Secondly, when do you think the best time is to drink a shake? I usually eat dinner around 6:30 PM and lift at 8 PM. I was thinking to have one shake immediately after I lift at around 9PM. I then usually hit the sack around 11PM. Do you think taking this shake close to my bed time is a bad idea? Right now, I am trying to bulk up and decrease body fat. I am not concerned with my weight increasing, as long as its from lean muscle ;) Any help is appreciated. Oh, and thanks to all from this site who recommended Muscle Milk :tu:

Muscle Milk contains no creatine, only creatine precursors.(ask CytoSport that one) Since you've got plenty of aminos running around in your system from dinner, your pre w/o is covered. Use the Muscle Milk as your post work out, and then figure about 12hours from that time. So if you're downing the MM around 9:00PM, you're looking at trying to get another shake around that 9:00AM mark.(within hours is fine) This was the recommendation from the people at CytoSport.
Hope that helps...

Absolutely! Thanks for the tips. I may give them a call to see what they recommend.
