My starting point:

196.0 lbs
20.3% BF

Goal:

< 173 lbs by the new year

Plan:

- Maintain diet based on BMR method. Eat healthy. Focus is calories, but trying to stay somewhat close to 40/40/20 macronutrient split
- Cardio 3x a week starting out with 40 min @ 70% MHR, then progressing to HIIT when that gets too easy
- Weight training (once I get some gear... for now just body weight exercises)
- Ice hockey 2-4x per week

Pics to come...

Good luck guys. Wallerdc id recommend using a dietary tracking program till you get good at keeping a mental tab on calories. You gotta make sure to not eat too little.

Deafngari, thanks for chiming in.

I use Diet Power, which by the way is a very good program. I know that I am way undereating, my macros' are way off, so I definately need to fix that. Work has just been crazy for the wife and I so we haven't had the chance to get to the grocery store. All Ive been eating is the best possible choices of what we already have.

I will be going to the store probably tonight or tomorrow night, so I can stock up on all the good stuff.

take care

Just an update to say I'm still in this...

I hit 190.2 on the scale this morning. I think that's temporary, though... I'm probably closer to 192.
