i am in toronto and most of big websites dont deliver to CA, i found this bench in sears. its regular price 279, but right now they are doing some promotion and are giving it away for 229,(about 175 US)
it has a separate rack, and the bench looks alright, i could always replace it with sth better.
is it worth attention, and should i buy it?
rate it 1 to 10.

That's quite interesting. Most equipment SEARS carries usually sucks, but I don't know about Free Spirit. If you can though, paying a couple hundred more for a bodycraft/bodysolid olympic bench/rack system with more options for positioning the uprights.

However, if you think it's sturdy enough for your purposes, it looks mighty fine in the picture aside from the lack of adjustment holes for safety bars. If you could try it out in a store, and maybe check the weight capacity then you're set.

NYBB or JE Fitness doesn't deliver to Canada? If they do, they have a nice bench/rack/safeties setup (with more options) that you know will be sturdy.

As far as value, if it has a decent weight capacity (say 500lb), and feels sturdy, I'd say it's an 7 or 8. Good deal, but not a lot of adjustment.
