I can't seem to decide whether bulk or not.
I lost some good weight at spring, maintained at summer and I've been bulking from July.
My bulking period has gone excellently, I'm making good gains and increasing my strength at every workout. I have good appetit, so I'm gaining weight at a good rate. I have _NOT_ noticed any greater fat gains, so I've obviously grabbed mostly muscle/water mass.
Now that it isn't winter already (-30 degrees Celsius hrrrr...) and I should be able to do pre-breakfast cardio for a couple of months before freezing out, I've got this idea of beginning to cut! I regret deeply that I did my last cut half-heartedly and began bulking too soon. I've never been ripped in my whole life! (yeah, I could do something with fancy six pack) I looked at John's progress pictures of bf% 25->10, and realized that I could do miracles before heart of the winter arrives if I'd count calories and were more disciplined. Definately I'd do better than last time.
My self-assembled strength program has been working fine (and I'm not even middle of it, it should last for 4 months!!), but I've been craving towards Max-ot past few weeks. Damn me.
So, which would be the best way to go now? I've got couple of options:
1. Continue bulking&adding strength till december (being at bf% over 20% then for sure), the original program. Then cutting, till Bloody shredded at July 2005.
Pros: I have urgent desire to be big and strong, can eat much
Cons: I want to get RIPPED faaaaast... I just can't wait SO LONG! Next summer is so far away.
2. Do a very strict diet until I can't do cardio because of really cold winter. With a) my program or b) max-ot , and HIIT 3 times per week. Then do very clean bulk till summer with only +~0-300kcal/d.
My army service begins at July 2005 and that place is definately better for cutting than bulking. (maybe cut then off the extra 2-5 kilos, while mostly maintaining)
Pros: Getting ripped faster, would like to do this
Cons: Too frequent change of plans, zero expectations in strength gains, maybe winter coming too soon... Winter is time for bulking here in cold north. Anyone can't see I'm bloody ripped because I have to wear so much clothes!
I'm at crossroads, just when I thought that I had a stable program for 4 months or so
