Has anyone ever had a blood clot?
After a run the other day I took off my sock to reveal a toe that was nearly black colored...just the tip of my left middle toe is the darkest of dark purple. I'm going to the doctor to have it checked out tomorrow because I'm concerned I may have a blood clot. I really don't know much about this, but since it doesn't hurt, appeared out of no where, and I'm not sure what the deal is I figure better safe than sorry...I'm hittin' up a physician! Anyone know anything about this stuff, or had one themselves?

More than likely nothing to worry about. You have probably bashed your toe, but don't remember, and all you have is an intense bruise. The fact that it doesn't hurt is the most important point. Rarely is anything serious not painful; pain is the safety net.
If it was a clot in the arterial supply to your toe, the toe would be colder, white and painful. If it was a venous clot, the toe would be blue/purple, colder and have a 'bursting' kind of feeling/pain.

Bottom line, don't worry, and stop bashing your toes.
