How would I go about cooking enough brown rice for one individual serving?

Following the instructions "on the bag", I managed to make 10 cups of rice which is wonderful if I were a small family from some exotic Micronesian island, but really lousy for just me.

I am quite confidient that using only 1/10th of everything would result in scorched rice or possibly a small fire. Any suggestions?

P.S. I wouldn't suggest eating it after about two days in the icebox.

On all the packages of brown rice that I have purchased, there are measurements for smaller servings like 2 cups, 4 cups, etc... If you keep the ratios right, the rice will not burn. When you try it the first time, experiment if need be. Also, you can get a rice cooker for cheap, which will simplify your life a little. There are also microwave cookers, but I have never tried brown rice in one.

This is the kind of rice we get and the smaller serving sizes are on the package. I am at work, but the following link may get you in the right direction.
