Good day to you all and especially to those of you who are in the path of Hurricane Francis - my prayers go out to all.

This may not be the correct Forum to ask my question but here it is anyway: whenever I have some pics taken on my digital, I am disappointed that I cannot see any results of my hard work; probably because the camera is not really a good one - I got it by signing up with a local cell phone supplier as part of one of their promotions. Is there anything that I can use (example: a lotion or an oil ) that would highlight the definitions I have gained? Any advice appreciated. Regards from Canada

It might be an obvious statement, but go read the sticky post in the media gallery. That'll help a bunch.

Thanks, man, for your suggestion. I read the sticky in detail but there is nothing in it to give me kind of info I am asking for in my question. Nagle 101

I think that if you are tan your definition shows up better -- so maybe you could try a tanning spray <-- I think that is what it is.

Actually, the part about lighting in the sticky is really worth a lot if you want to show your definition. I did it completely wrong in the beginning, and now I "look" much better. Try it out.

outside in late afternoon sun, face towards the southwest. Camera at waist level with upward slant. Idea get some red tones with a cross-light over body giving height to body. Don't hide legs with baggy long pants, unless you don't have any.

I remember reading that John used some kind of moisturizing lotion before he took his photos. I imagine any old kind would work, but try looking on his main site in the FAQ if you're curious. That may be where I read about it.

Thanks to all for your suggestions - much appreciated. Just bought myself a new digital with self-timer, zoom lens, etc. so I should get some good pics in the future. Nagle 101
