Well, that certainly gives new meaning to the old phrase, "No Highs, No Lows, Must Be Bose!"

Well, my struts are blown on my car and are expensive to replace. I wonder if Bose could use my vechile as a test system...

Saw this last week... the concept is simply awesome. I just hope they don't patent this thing to all hell and charge a fortune to license it. If they play their cards right, it will be a hit in the near future.
Then again, times what they are, it will be patented to hell, and they will want a fortune to license it, and it will never be used on anything but $100k Mercedes.

Sock's quote is so painfully appropriate :)
Surely in the future it will be commonplace. Hopefully not tooo far in the future. It's really not a difficult or mind blowing concept at all. I'm rather surprised that people have been so late adopting it. I guess it's easy to comprehend, and hard to actually execute. The computer, and more notably the motors, have to be extremely quick to react.
I'd love to take one for a test drive.

Another example showing that BOSE isn't a contender in the audio market anymore. Their profits from the audio division, are pumped back into the companies main purpose, which is research and development.
Bose has closed alot of it's speaker manufacturing plants and moved the majority of what is left to Framingham MA, and Mexico. In the audio line, their main focus is Car Audio, with some stuff coming down the pike like I've never seen before. One such item, is a flat subwoofer that sits inside of the rim of your spare tire, out of the way. Where they can't contend in the home audio market, they've shifted their focus to the automobile manufacturers, such as Toyota, Nissan, Chrysler, GM, Ford...etc. This is one of the reasons that you see so many new vehicles coming through with BOSE stereo systems right from the factory. If nothing else, BOSE Corp. is a marketing monster, that knows how to keep it's name in the public eye. They've got HUGE contracts with the airline, and a number of government agencies for their noice cancelling headsets.
