Hey all! Thanks for taking an interest in this post.

I have a question to which I know will have crossed everyone's mind at one point or another, and I'd like as many answers as possible on this one.

I have posted my pics yesterday in the Pics section of the forum, http://forums.johnstonefitness.com/showthread.php?t=787 along with my stats, so you get an impression on my size or lack thereof.

To break it down, I'm 6'4" tall, 225lbs and 24% bodyfat. I would like to end up at 8 or 9% bodyfat of course, wouldn't anyone that is considerably out of shape?!

The question is, what in your opinion, is the better thing to do first, loose fat or gain some size and cut later? Is it possible to do both?

All the best everyone, nice to see people making their progress!

Craig

If i were in your place, i think i'd cut down first, but not all the way to your long term goal, maybe to a comfortable 12 or 13%, at this level, you should be able to gauge your lean build and decide whether you want to build any extra muscle.
You could then carefully bulk until you're happy with your size, then a final cut down to your 8% goal should do it.

Greeno.

P.s. I'm from Huddersfield, small world, lol
