I figured I needed to do this now, before I lose any more weight. I started my program three weeks ago and have already lost about two to three kilos.

It's really difficult to take pictures with the webcam in one hand and the mouse in the other, so it's a bit patched up from different shots.

Currently I'm 190cm (6'3") tall, weigh 98 kilos (215.6 pounds), bodyfat unknown, 27 years old.

Update: 11. April 2004
Here's some updated pictures - Still poor quality, still using that same webcam... I should be ashamed of myself for posting such poor pictures being a photographer and all, I just havent't switched to digital yet (still developing my own black and white film in the kitchen). One of these days I'll set up my camera and shoot a film with some better pictures...

I started my program on monday january 19, almost immediately after reading about John in VG. Since then I've done a five day MAX-OT style split routine every week. Three weeks ago I also added cardio to my program, doing 30 minutes on the step machine every morning.

My diet is a 30/20/50 protein/fat/carb split. I try to eat around 2500-2700 calories a day.

I now weigh 94.5 kilos (208 pounds), have lost more than two inches around my waist and have gained some defnition. Very happy with my results so far! :)

The last picture is from a vacation in Fuerteventura last november. I was really embarassed to see that picture with my huge belly sticking out like that. I had no idea it was that visible until I saw this picture.

Thanks to John and everyone else here! I read posts here every day, and it's really keeping me motivated, not to mention all the great stuff I'm learning

Your photos demonstrate that you have the ability to overcome obstacles and do what you must to get the desired result. Excellent solution to the webcam problem! That kind of thinking is very conducive to reaching your fitness goals - good luck!

I am about the same size and body shape (Started 6'5" 232lbs) you were in the beginning...and we have the same mouse too! :-) I started a couple of weeks ago and have lost 4 lbs already. I hope I look like you do now by the end of June! Keep up the great work!

Thanks! It's really nice to get such positive comments :)

One thing I should mention - In that last picture with the t-shirt I'm wearing size XXL, the only size I would wear because it would conceal my stomach more effectively (or so I thought :o )... Last week I bought size M t-shirts and can wear them comfortably without having to worry about pulling in my stomach all the time! :D That's three sizes down in as many months. I've also found three sets of pants that didn't fit me before, that now fit perfectly - One of them even hangs a bit loose.

I started at 220 in january and also lost 4 lbs in the first few weeks, after that it slowed down somewhat. But I've found the weight isn't a very accurate measurement anyway... I've hit a pleateau with my weight several times, but continue to see improvements in muscle definition and waist size. It's almost like the weight is shifting around to more favorable places instead of going away :p
