Does anybody know anything about how to remove a tick? Its actually on my dog. Im not even 100% sure its a tick. Hes got what looks like a big pimple, with a good size black thing dead in the middle of it. I cant seem to get a good look at it bc its obviously bothering him... everytime I go near it to look, he whimpers away. Its also in a bad spot, right on his "u know what" :o . I have read that the old hot match trick isnt the best way to do it, not to mention, i dont have the heart to burn him where that thing is located.

Any ideas??

dont use vaseline or a match. you should raise the area by pinching and pull it out with tweasers. you dont want to pull to hard or fast. you want the tick to let go without breaking off the head. being in such a bad spot you might consider taking him to the vet. i probably would. i dont want to have to pinch my dogs twig. :gl:
