Can a tricep bar be used for bicep curls? I have paralysis in my right arm so I have to do curls seperatly. Left arm, and then right arm. It is time consuming. So if I could use this bar, I could do curls w/both arms at the same time. Would it be as effective? And would it be the same excercise?

I don't get it...why do you have to use a special tricep bar and not a regular barbell? You didn't really explain this in your post.

You can use a tricep bar to do Hammer Curls. Use a barbell to do bicep curls.

I don't have to. It would just save time. When I do curls w/my right hand, I have to hold one side of the barbell with my left hand and I'm not sure how good of a work out I'm getting...

Go to wal-mart and check them out. Of course, they can be used for both bicep and tricep, if they work for you.

no, not at all. your tricep does not get really involved in any curling motion. It gets involved in things opposite of curling, like kickbacks and pushdowns, and of course any press.

maybe i misunderstood, maybe you meant you could use dumbells to work your tris, and thats true.

to the OP, nemesis is right, just get some dumbells, no holding necessary. dumbell handles work too.
