mo0fer August 20th, 2004, 12:41 AM :P sorry for making two threads..
i thought i put the other thread in the wrong forum...and i seen this forum said 'anything that's not related to fat loss, etc'
MGB August 20th, 2004, 01:32 AM I did something similar to this once and ended up in the emergency room. I hadn't worked out in a while so went nuts doing as many situps as I could. Then I went to a movie. In the movie, I could feel my left side expanding and hurting (my pants were even getting tight). Anyhow, I held my left side in w/my left hand and drove to the hospital, completely freaked out.
They oculdn't tell me what I did, I recovered while lying there for...a long time.
Anyhow, my recommendation is get your muscle acustom to working out, and add weight instead of reps.

All the crunches in the world won't make your abs more visible. Do a search on this forum for cutting. It's all about diet.

Get your BF% checked. Just because you are very skinny doesn't mean that your BF% is low enough. The definition of skinny changes from one person to the other. You can be skinny but still have fat: it's called being skinny fat and usually means you don't have much muscle.
Transformer2004 August 21st, 2004, 01:59 PM or ikf ur very skinny and ur bodyfat is pretty low, u need hypertrophy for ur abs, u need them bigger, u dont need 1000s of reps that will probably work ur hip flexors more than ur abs, weighted crunches which everyone has said, keep reps low, maybe 2-5 sets of 5 reps, with 30-1min rest in between

And while your at it, if you decide to go an a weight training regemen, think quality NOT quantity.
