Anyone know a healthy recipe for them...I can buy them for a quarter down town and I think they'd be an excellent mid-day meal because they're filling and I don't mind not eating a TON in one sitting...just a few is a perfect size (4 tops!)
For those of you who've never had a dolma they're stuffed grape leaves.
Here's a link to a recipe I found:

They are wonderful! My mother in law makes them and I just love them.
I tried to make them once and it was a complete disaster though :\

Are you Greek?
They make stuffed grape leaves in Romania and call them sarmale. To make them, you mix a bunch of raw ground pork (the kind with lots of fat in it) with uncooked white rice, wrap it in a grape leaf, put in a pot, and add some fermented vegetable juice. Boil for a couple of hours and you'll see a nice greasy film on top.
My grandma is Ukrainian, and she used to make holopchi for us. Rice (and sometimes ground beef) wrapped up in a cabbage leaf, then baked with tomato sauce.
I only tried to make them once, and they were a huge pain in the butt. And a grape leaf is even smaller than a cabbage leaf.
