Lookup up timberwolf at the bodybuilding.com forums. Coincidentally, that is where i found john stone several years back. I think John still has a sticky thread in the loosing fat forum there. Timberwolf is a really good guy too, very humble as well. He's 5'10 and hovers between 175 and 165lbs...a very normal size.

I think he looks good, but he's got WAY too much bodyfat for my tastes though....He really should consider going on a cut. :D

Nothing is "better", everything is preference. He looks like he's lacking in the leg department, not necessarily bad, but something I wouldn't neglect working on.

Sorry for the confusion. I'm not sure if this makes sense or not, but he looks like he has the type of perfect body that you couldn't work to get. For example, if I wanted to look like a really muscular woman, I just have to keep lifting weights, but if I want to look like Angelina, I'm out of luck. Her greatest assets (long lean legs, big breasts) aren't things that are achievable by spending hours in the gym. I have a feeling it's the same way with that guy.

I think he looks great, but it's not an easily imitatable look. (Yeah, maybe he has wimpy legs, but who cares?)

I agree with ltz that this is relative. In general, I think people prefer broader shoulders but it's not a rule. You can still have broad shoulders and look like a deformed frog. The guy in the picture, Rafael Verga, has the muscle proportions I'd looove to have. I also agree with guava that you can't just "copy" somebody's body any time you want, but in this case I believe the proportions could be achieved by a lot of people - not saying I can do that - not talking about his face.

What is so great about fitness is that it doesn't necessarily mean you have to work harder to look better. Just work smarter by focusing on the activities that are most profitable. We have the tools to get started today such as swolecat's services, some supplements, etc. I'm 29 now, 5'10 and i think i can look close enough to timberwolf by the time i am 37. He is exactly my frame size. In fact, i didn't even think bodies like that existed.

If i commit to all the necessary small steps, i will achieve a fantastic body faster than i have imagined anyway. I still can't believe how far John went in just a couple years...its proof it can be done.

Yeah -- that was just my initial guess, but like I said .. I don't feel strongly about it. He could very well be natural. In terms of his size, he is a tad on the big side for me, but I do agree that he looks good...and has probably worked very hard to get that physique. :tucool:

Mother Nature was genetically kind to Eva, and that's about it. She's not fit and while I do think that she's gorgeous, she's like half the other women posted in this thread in that she doesn't belong at all. Perhaps she belongs in FHM on some top 100 babes list, but not among a parade of fit bodies. This web board has many women who're much fitter than she is.

I value hard work over blessed genetics. Eva's hot, and I wouldn't kick her outta bed (except to roll around on the floor with her for a while)... but she's still not "fit", if'n you ask me, and you didn't. Throwing Eva Longoria into the mix makes this look like more leg-humping of another dime-a-dozen hottie rather than a compendium of perfect bodies. If Eva qualifies, so does every other cutie from FHM/Maxim/Stuff/etc...

This being a message board centered around fitness, I make inferences that posts such as these might be geared towards fitness. Silly me. So be it; I don't care what anyone's preference is... that's a personal thing and will always vary greatly. I've made many poor inferences that this board is geared towards fitness of late and rather than be perturbed by it, I'd rather step back and soak in the interesting human interactions that occur in these forums. And interesting they are.

I find it funny that many men in this thread find fitter women less attractive because of the musculature they themselves aspire to. The boys all want to be ripped and have the Eva Longorias on their arm. Having been up-close-and-personal with females built like Monica Brant, I can tell you with no uncertainty that those girls don't feel like steel... they don't feel hard. They feel like any other girl you've been with. They're just more toned in appearance.

My favorite post on this thread where someone posted pictures of the body they aspired to having was Cziffra's post. I also would like to have my body look similar to the way it did at one point in my life.

I like to see what everyone finds attractive too. I've always been a little mystified when people start saying models and other subjects of professional photography are ugly, but I'm probably mystifying someone else anyway, somehow, on a regular basis...:confused:

If I'm not mistaken, Monica Brant is one of if not the most successful fitness model of all time. Some people out there obviously don't find her to be ugly.

She's a bit short for my taste but I don't see the problem with her face.

If you cut out his model's face then this is what you get. Can you achieve that body? I have absolutely no doubt that you can get it, provided that you have the right bone structure because, honestly, that's mostly what his body is made of. I agree. I think the majority of people who are "big" like the picture in question will have above average athletic talents and be by no means slow. Additionally, we know that the guy is a powerlifter (in fact I believe he's a very highly ranked one) so, with all his fat cut off, we know he has an amazing amount of strength (and size) in his legs even though his upper-body is that big. I think that definitely facilitates some serious sprinting speed and amazing power.

Yeah it is. I couldn't find any good caps of him in Jarhead, other than the one leaning reading a book (which only really shows off his pecs).

I had been looking forward to it for the past few months so my expectations were high. Wow. Simply amazing movie. Kind of falls somewhere between FMJ, Platoon and Tigerland for how it approaches the war film, with a fair bit of time in basic training, moving on to the war zone and then in combat.

Jake Gyllenhaal is unbelievable. I'd always really rated him as an actor but this is without doubt his best performance to date. Peter Saarsgard is also outstanding, and Jamie Foxx is totally believable as a staff sargeant.

It shows a lot of the Iraq war that hasn't really been shown much (Three Kings wasn't really even a war movie) - the oil cleanup, the boredom, the tension and the comedown when coming home.

The pacing of the movie was fantastic, and even though it clocks in at over two hours I was sitting tensely on the edge of my seat for all of that.

Don't go in expecting an all action blockbuster, as that's not what this movie is like (there are very few deaths during the film) - it's more of a thoughtful film about war and what the soldiers go through (very much like Tigerland).

I highly recommend this movie to anyone remotely interested in the war genre.
