Thinking..dangerious…since one must be at a positive calorie point to gain LBM, how would this scenario go while cutting and trying to maintain or gain LBM?
Stay at a moderate calorie deficit until you work the weights say at night, then increase the calories to your daily calorie number.
Isn’t it more important to boost the caloric intake after weight training?
I hope I’m making sense here.

I'm not sure I follow...

In terms of caloric consumption, I take in about the same amount PWO in 2 meals that I do in the four before my workout...but the time frame in terms of awake time is about the same...hard to say if that was what you meant by yer question tho...>?

I don't think it's quite that easy.

If you don't feed your body enough before the weight training, you won't benefit as much as you could from it. Since you're going to burn a lot of energy, you need a lot of energy. Otherwise your body will start catabolising muscle.

Something you should also consider is the fact that it takes several days in order to heal the muscles completely after a weight lifting session. In order to really build lean mass you should probably stay above your needed intake for that entire time, not just directly after working out. If the body doesn't feel that you have a surplus of energy, it won't act as if you do.
