What are everyones thoughts on consumption of coffee? I drink (entirely too much of) it all the time. I work from home 4 out of 5 days a week, so I just sit here in front of my computer and sip coffee and water all day between meals.

Other than that, I have a fairly clean diet. I Weigh 210, eat between 2300 and 2500 cal/day (I shoot for 1 g/lbm protein per day) over 6 or 7 meals. and I'm loosing a little over 1lb/week.

In your opinons - does it help or hinder the cut process?

thanks

Helps the cutting process very much. Caffiene can stimulate the metabolism and helps me add energy to my workouts. I drink lots of coffee and espresso throughout the day. If you overdo it it can lead to dehydration, but as long as you're sippin' water along with it all day, no problem.

It's excellent for making your central nervous systems speed up, but if you are highly sensitive to it like me I suggest you staty away. :D

I like caffeine, a lot, so I drink coffee. My thoughts are I don't care how bad it is for me, I like it muchly :D

I try to limit myself to 2 cups a day. Its not recommended if creatine is used. Also dehydration can occur during long endurance activities if too much is consumed. Long story short, I drink it in moderation. :tucool:

From what I've read, I don't think creatine and caffiene really are bad together.

That is one article I could find quickly that kinda talks about it since I really don't want to write out a lot of chem since college ball is on :D I think the whole no creatine and caffiene thing has gotten funny at this point.

I don't really have anything constructive to bring to this discussion, but I did just conquer figuring out how to use this automated coffeemaker (directions lost) from our wedding registry over a year ago.

I hardly drink coffee (see reasons below) but had to have a victory (I think I lost in the end) cup after the initial test brew, so I drank a cup around noon today. And I must say this is the most irritable and pissed off I've been in weeks. Coffee usually puts me in a drowsy, nauseous, and dehydrated stupor and today was no exception, just add the lousy mood-changing effect. It's going to be an effort to get through my workout in 30 minutes.

My wife and I switched to "half Cafe" about 2 months ago. It's 1/2 decaff (which still has caffeine) and one half full caff. She's stopped completely now that she's pregnant, and I started drinking Green Tea instead last Friday. I had a headache all weekend, but today I finally feel ok. And the Green tea has caffeine. I've stopped in the past and gotten the usual caffeine withdrawl headaches then, but extremely bad.
My point is something that causes such bad withdrawl side effects can't be too good for you. But, who am I to say as I drank it for 15 years!

Going green tea only now for the health benefits. :tu:

Since you love drinking that, can you tell me how much calories in:
1) Nescafe Sugar Free
2) Decaffenated Coffee, but I see it uses sugar in the label
3) Green tea

Just curious cause I also love coffee... It gives the boost in the morning and in the afternoon...

Well...

About coffee, here's a link,(note: It's from a comic strip. About a guy's experience in an IT-office area.)
