I know this has been discussed to death, but im too lazy to look for it so here it is

If i hit the gym at 6 am, should i take the protein shake just before i leave my house for the gym (considering i just woke up and have had nothing to eat), or should i take it when i return around 7am?

Something else, if i brew green tea in the mourning, and keep it in my thermus until 1 pm, will it still be good or will it be just like drinking water, i men does it keeps its "good" stuff for several hours?

What do you plan to do in the gym early in the morning? Are you doing cardio or are you lifting?

And if the green tea is kept in a thermos I don't see why it would be bad to drink later in the day. Green tea extract capsules would solve your problem if you think your tea is losing it's potentcy.

Well in the gym i do long reps low weight routines and dont do cardio since i run about 3 km as warmup before practice + all the running while practicing

If your doing weight training and your not focused on fat loss, then I guess it would be fine to just have a protein shake and maybe an apple before you go in the gym, like 45 minutes before. I'm sure others will post better suggestions but that's a start.

Eat the apple as you leave the house for the gym. Drink the shake on the way home.
