I've been eating this regularly for the past couple weeks and It's a great tasting, healthy source of protein.
Note that as I am in Japan, serving sizes and whatnot may differ, but this is a totally adaptable recipe.
I use:
170g canned tuna (water and oil pressed out of the can)
150 g block of white tofu (don't press out the water!)
favorite veggies
favorite spices
Mix the tuna and tofu in a bowl until the tofu is pulverized and creamy. It almost looks like tuna salad with mayo!
Then, spice it up any way you like. I've used black pepper, lemon juice, cajun spices, do what you like! Just watch the salt if you need to limit it for your diet.
Now, mix in some green veggies like cucumbers, lettuce, celery. Red and yellow peppers, as well as diced tomato, would work well, too.
If it comes out right it is a creamy tuna salad with a veggie crunch.
Of course calories will vary with the brand of tuna and the brand of tofu and the veggies you use, but it is High-protein, low fat/low carb, and with veggies, has fiber too.
