I decided that I want to buy protein bars that I will use for snacking on the days that I need to travel (once a week on avg) and mess up my normal meal schedule.
The bars in Finland are ridiculously priced so I think that I will probably get a better deal (even with the shipping costs) from some webshop, e.g from here http://www.bodybuilding-supplements-for-you.com
Of course now I have the terrible dilemma of choosing what to order, there seems to be gazillion different varities out there.
One that I tried in Finland (All Stars HY-PRO) has the following stats:
One bar is 100g: 384 cals, 30g prots, 48g carbs, 8g fat. The taste was ok but I'm not too happy about the amount of carbs and fat in it.
Currently I'm considering of ordering couple of boxes of WSN Pure Protein Bars (http://www.bodybuilding-supplements-for-you.com/WSN/pure-protein-bars.htm) which have the following stats: 280 cals, 4g fats, 13g carbs (2g sugars), 32g protein. So, compared e.g. with the All Stars HY-PRO, this has a much better profile IMO. Especially te amount of prots in relation to total cals looks promising.
The sale price is $28.5 which makes about $2.40 or so per bar, which is much better than the $4 per bar for All Stars HY-PRO.
So, any comments on the WSN Pure Protein bars?
Or any other recommendations with equally decent profiles?
