Hi everyone!

Does anyone practise Body Combat? I wonder how many calories are burnt in an average class. I practise 3x/week now. For those who have read any of my previous posts I gave up water aerobics as the results after 4 months were close to... null! I decided to start something more "agressive" that would hepl me burn more calories as I need to loose fat as a first step and then complement with muscle gain. Comments anyone?

I have been to a couple of TAE BO classes in the uk which i think are pretty similar. The classes all had a great amount of energy and enthusiasm that really got everyone moving. It did seem like coordination was a limiting factor for new people so they were not able to get into the groove and get a good workout but once they had been there a few sessions their balance and motor skills improved enough for them to do all the exercises properly. If you are in the right level of class then i think it will be great as it seems to keep people interested alot better than the other classes. The answer to your other question on the forum is if this is the class you enjoy the most then it quite possibly could be the best way to burn calories for you

I did some research as I didn't know what Tae Bo was and yes from what I've seen it looks pretty similar. I did some research and the average number of calories burnt seem to be around 600 in a 45 min class... That is quite a lot!!!
THanks for replying! ;)

I have a couple of the Tae-Bo DVDs when I was doing it last year. It was hard at first to get the motivation.. but coupled with Xenadrine EFX I felt more energetic and was losing my fat fast while I did notice muscle gains (was doing some weights with it). I was probably overtraining to the max though. I gave up because I had a load of work to do which took all my time.. and I never had my diet sorted anyway until I found John's site in Feb of this year. Only wish I had found it when I was into Tae-Bo. It really was a great workout! And one that I really enjoyed after a few sessions (after I gained good balance :P). I recommend it to anyone.
