I bought one tonight (the PowerTec Leverage Squat / Calf system) and am having buyer's remorse. I went to buy a PowerTec cage, but they didn't have any in the showroom or in stock.

Considering cancelling the delivery tomorrow and going someplace else for the cage unless anyone can provide feedback on their results with this or a similar system?

That leverage squat is a nice unit, but it's nothing like a barbell squat. The weight is there, but the stabilizing muscles aren't brought into play, so the overall result is somewhat different. I do know some people that own one though, and everybody loves it. You can go heavy as hell with no worries, and you've got the calve raise built right into the machine. It wasn't a bad decision, it's just different then going with a power rack. Personally, I'd like to have one, just to have it.
Did you try calling Powertec, and telling them that you can't get your cage delivered because the store said they were out of stock? Better yet, I know that if you tell them that the store told you that Powertec hasn't delivered yet and they're back ordered, they'll sell one to you direct for the same cost as the store.
Don't go into re-evaluation mode over the purchase...it was a good one. It's just a piece of equipment that nobody in here has had the pleasure of using yet. Keep in mind that the majority of members in here are "somewhat" new to "serious" training. (less than a year or two) There's alot of stuff that nobody in here is going to be able to give you opinions on. For that fact, I saw some of the equipment that you have asked about...and you might not of gotten any valid feedback in anykind of forum that you asked the question in.

what a shame, they are awesome

ive tries them before at the store and their great. There not as good for squats are free weights, but for calves there an excelent addition to you gym. I plan to buy one as soon as i can afford it
