I remember a while ago there were a few people saying that they were going to try using CLA & report back on how it went.
Anyone got any news for us ?
I am curious how good/bad this supplement is.
Thanks

I used it for three months, but I couldn't tell if it made any difference or not. I think in the end it's more of a placebo effect.

I use CLA. I wouldn't say I notice any major difference, except that it helps me get my fat ratio up to 20%, and that I feel better in general doing so.

it's certainly no miracle pill, but for me, it is one I'm going to be taking.

I was taking it and the only thing I noticed is that it made me very nauseous.

I used it a few years ago, and all it did for me was make me nauseous as well. From the belches it would give you.....

it never made me nauseous.

I used it religously for the entirety this past summer (3000-5000mg per day), and then i ran out so i was able to test the results of NOT using it in comparison (as far as fatloss)

0 difference. results were the same.

But - i've read so many raving studies on it that i take a small amount each day. i've read that it prevents certain cancers, and increases muscle storage, increases fat loss - and since i still dont have cancer yet, maybe it is working? who knows.

haha. I wouldn't attribute lack of cancer to CLA. lol. as far as effectiveness, I'm not sure. some studies say it requires massive doses to be effective while other studies say 3-6 grams a day is enough to see results. Whatever the fat loss benefit, I can't think it would be too great. But I am taking it myself right now. 5 grams a day. I'm in a cutting phase but can't tell if anything can be attributed to CLA. but if you've got the money, it can't hurt, and it does help get enough healthy fat in the diet as others have said. don't know that i'd bother spending on it when not cutting, though. (however, some studies I've read that it's actually most effective and preventing weight gain after a loss. so maybe it WOULD be good during a bulking phase).
