I just joined. I found this site by accident and I love it. It is extremely motivating.
I am 57, female, 5'4", weigh 155 pounds down from a peak of 190, lost very slowly over about 8 years. I work out moderately though I plan to increase it after reading the post on this site. (I have already started with effects showing already.) I have a goal of 125 lbs (much more rapidly I hope) and see how I look and re-assess then.
I have a number of questions I want to ask and some feedback I would like to receive, but because of the questions other people ask who want to help a poster, I want to post the items I list below in some place on this site with a link so if people want to know more details they can click on the link without my query posts taking up so much space.
These are the posts I would like to have links for. Can I do this on this site?
1. My weight and food history: I was a perfect weight until I hit 28 years of age, without any particular thought to worrying about food, just general care not to eat too much in the way of ice cream, cake and candy. I then quit smoking and got married and started a fairly high powered, high pressure career and went through a history of weight gain and loss with a long run upward trend, forced changes in exercise and following various food plans to lose weight until I ballooned to 190 pounds. I didn't start my weight loss until I went on a variation of Atkins (unintentionally the first few years and then intentionally more recently--though a modified version.) I know that people don't go for Atkins here but I would like hear people's thoughts on it when they see my history if they care to say something. I still have some trouble issues, like a gut that won't go away, etc. So I would like to post my history somewhere here with a link to it that I can include when I post specific queries.
2. My supplements -- which I started taking extensively once I conscously started my own modification of Atkins--ditto as above.
3. My current food plan -- ditto as above.
4. I would like to be able to include my picture with my posts as other people do. I have not found instructions to do this, or I don't recognize them.
Are the requests above possible? Do you recommend an alternative if not?
I plan in a few weeks to do charting, challenges & progress reports etc. like others do. I am not able to do it now because of a professional deadline and can't distract myself for the moment, other than to follow some of the workout suggestions people recommend here.
I am sure my queries are repetitious but if someone doesn't mind responding to me here, I would be grateful.
