As some of you know I am a hardcore runner. The past month I have been sidelined from running due to extreme knee pain. I have been running at least 30 to 40 miles a week for the past two years! I recently bought a racing bike, hands down the best thing ever! In two weeks I have stronger quads from climbing hills/sprinting and have discovered new parts of Dallas I never knew existed.
My point to all of my rambling is for all the cardio addicts out there, if you have an injury or pain. Take up a different method to try and fix the problem. My knee only hurts about one day a week, and just the other day I did a little running with no pain...only two miles but oh it felt good. The combination of biking and running complements each other (legs/joints). Now I bike in the morning for about an hour, and run at night moderately before bed.
