Quick question... I was just wondering if anyone of you have done the max-ot program to the tee and what were your results from it..

I did and I gained 5 pounds of muscle in my first four weeks. When I measure myself next week, we'll know about the second four weeks.

I've kept the same routine with minor exercise variances the whole time.

I've followed it for 16 weeks and picked up 14 lbs. of mostly lean muscle. However, my nutrition could have been better.

I've done the download, read the material, but am hesitating on starting it. I've been busting my butt to drop body fat and extra weight, now I'm just plain ol scared to start it and put weight back on. I know it's good lean muscle weight, but I'm on the fence about if I want to do it or not.

I know...just suck it up wuss and do it. I will...maybe...I think...I dunno...

If you're in a cutting phase, you'll want to keep the muscle mass you have. Rather than worry about weight on the scale, worry about bf levels. You can add or sustain muscle while using max-ot and lower your bf level by adjusting your calories.

Been doing MAXOT for a few weeks now. I highly recommend it even if you are cutting.

A close friend of mine is in contest prep for his first (natural/amateur) show in a few months, and he's doing MAXOT. He's dropped a significant amount of bodyfat in the last few weeks already, so I know you can easily lose fat while on MAXOT. Just keep your diet in check.

Since it's generally agreed upon that you can't gain a lot of muscle and lose fat at the same time, a lot of people build their physiques in two phases:

1) cutting - You're on a mild caloric deficit and you try to lose fat while preserving muscle
2) bulking - You're on a caloric surplus in order to build muscle, but you try to minimize fat gains

I have been doing it for 4 weeks (+ HIIT) and dropped 5% body fat, all of it replaced with muscle mass. I am almost exactly the same weight, just different composition. In short, it Rocks!

I did a max-ot cycle (while cutting) a few months back and had fantastic results. I gained both muscle and strength.
There are some pics on my signature below showing my progress.

Good luck

Been doing Max-OT for about 7 months now. I really enjoy it as a routine but there have been some complications. To my knowledge, most people that do Max-OT face almost exactly the same problems.

1) Shoulder injury - This gets everyone, and usually early on with Max-OT. Learn to do rotator cuff warmups inbetween your 1st warm up sets. You must do this at a bare minimum else you *will* injur yourself.

If your paranoid about it, you can go one step further, and never go beyond the parallel plane with your elbows, when doing any press excercise. e.g. on a bench press, your elbows do no go lower then the level plane of your body.

Yes, you miss some range of motion, but since I've been doing this ( and rotator warmups ), I've had 0 should problems.

2) Joint pains - I do a 5 day split, 4 days upper body, 1 day lower body for about 8 weeks. I usually develop my wrist pains during my 4th - 5th week of training. Nothing serious, but bothersome. Taking glucosmine will help a little with this.

After the 8th week, I take a full week off, not doing any weights or cardio at all. When I come back wrists don't start hurting again till about 4-5 weeks into the program.

I've experience both of the above. If I recall correctly, they both happened around the 5th week.

I've changed my initial routine now that I'm back on the weights to work into where I feel my joints and ligaments can take the additional strain.

Joint pain and shoulder injury are extremely common injuries. Most likely these conditions already exist for you or you are "prepped are ready" for them such as with weak shoulders.

Since Max-OT is an intense program it is only natural that these become apparent or worsen. Most people go into Max-OT without thinking about these things or knowledge of them and then have problems.

If you have a history of shoulder injury, choose a less demanding program. If you're old then think twice about a program that often works above 90% of your max for an exercise: your body isn't what it used to be.

Protect yourself from the beginning with rotator cuff exercises and proper training in preperation of Max-OT - don't just jump right in.

So far I have not had either of those problems myself, but I've been lifting "high intensity" for about a year now.

Same here, but only a little over two months. I've never had a problem in the past with either either.
