I just got the call from the Sheriff's Department today and I have to do the 300M run and 1.5 mile run on MONDAY!! I just pulled my friggin quad last week, what the hell should I do? I have no choice but to do the run, but is there any way to minimize the pain while doing it? I was thinking of taking 4 advils before the run, would that help?? Any help would be greatly appreciated, i'm in trouble here.

I don't know about you but when I pulled my quad years ago I couldn't even walk to the bathroom without pain, let alone run 1.5 miles. Wouldn't an injury make you exempt anyway?

edit: changed my mind.

Don't do anything between now and monday to agrivate the quad. On monday make sure you warm up properly and give it a shot. I would also explain that you have an injury but you're going for it anyway. Might get you some points. ;)

Good luck.

I'm not going to even mention the injury. If they see something and ask, then I will answer them. But, I will not ask for any sympathy from anyone or attempt to get any special treatment. I'm just not like that. But thanks for the advice.

From now until then: get a lot of water and have extra portions of protein and carbs. Ice and heat that thing every hour.

On the day: don't take the advil on an empty stomach.

I hope it goes all right.
