I'm trying to eat one a day to keep up the calories. It would be nice if I could cook at work, but modern life doesn't allow that.

I like the Zone Perfect bars (Zone diet is somewhat similar to the 40-40-20) and most have about 16g of protein. Lemon Yogurt is pretty good.

STAY AWAY FROM: Carbolite S'Mores. aweful.

How about a poll on best-tasing protein bars? I'd do it, but I don't really know the popular brands.

I've had the Met-rx Protein Plus bar, which was ok, as well as the Balance Gold bar, which was not bad. I kind of dislike the texture of Powerbars.

I'm a big fan of Chef-Jay's Trio-Plex line, although he has some faulty label claims...

I've been getting the CarbRite diet bars and NuGo nutrition bars, which are both pretty good. Today I tried the Met-RX Big 100 Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. It was awesome! :tu:

man, those EAS lo-carb things gave me the worst goddam gas. ugh. probably sugar alcohols or something...

I don't regularly eat bars anymore, but if I'm really hungry and they happen to be around and the other options are limited, sure. the assorted Zone and Nitro-Tech bars are damned tasty as these things go, although the Nitro bars are too expensive.

I really enjoy the Atkins Advantage bars. Many different flavors to choose from.

If I remember correctly, the Zone bars have a lot of sugar in them.
