now that I've moved into my new place I found that I have room for pretty much a full-size rack and bench, plus plates and a pile o' dumbbells.

I'm such a clueless moron about buying this stuff and every sporting goods store I've been in has cheap flimsy stuff and loud-ass pushy salespeople. the rack should have a pull-up bar for hanging raise-slings and maybe dip bars too. I see the Powertec rack here (http://www.egymequipment.com/powerrack.html) for $399, is that a good price/unit?

for bar/plates/bells I'm looking at Ivanko but that's pretty expensive stuff. iron is iron, right?

You can get it here (http://www.bigfitness.com/powerrack.html) for $299 plus some shipping cost, depending on where you are. Now here's the key...They''ll tell you that they are back ordered, so what you do is call Powertec direct, and tell them that "Big Fitness won't ship your rack because they said Powertec hasn't delivered to them". Powertec will sell you the rack for the same $299 direct :nod:

Powertec=god.

their rack is awesome. And it is hands down the best bang for your buck.

Powertec's bench is a steal as well for the quality IF you can tolerate stuffing a big towel or something in the gap every time you work out
