Got this bench 2 days ago for doing some Ab excersizes & dumbell work on my off Gym days. It's worked out well for the small space I have, and It's also worked really good for Flat/Declined Bench pressing with dumbells. Works great for dumbell shoulder press also. One of the key points I liked about it for abs was that it Had Leg supports for standard type crunches, and had the extra hand grips/supports for leg-raise/lifts.

Summary: All in all, it's an excellent product and at $36.96 from your local walmart, you can't beat it :tu: . Only negative I'd have to say is that "some assembly required" should be more like "All assembly required" .

3 positions: flat, incline, decline
Folds for easy storage
Comes with exercises

I give it Two Thumbs Up :tu: :tu:

I was just looking at this bench this past weekend. I almost bought it but I was thinking "how could something that costs $37 be any good". So I am glad you posted, I think I'll go pick it up.

One question though. I weigh about 173 lbs. Is there any weight limit (body weight plus the weights you are lifting) on this bench? I didn't see a weight limit listed on the box.

I didn't see a weight limit either..... Seems pretty sturdy *for the most part*(noted in second paragraph). I'm not worried about dumbell weight on it, I would think one's "size" is the only issue. The board isn't very wide(issue for a lager person ?), but I think it's a great width for what it's intended for. I dont think you'd have a problem at 173lbs, but it might be an issue for someones size that is around 230lbs+ though. *shrugs*.... not sure.

Only time I've had an issue, is when I sit up lean sideways to pickup the first 40lb+ dumbell, and the bench wants to tip sideways a little. Now that I'm aware of the issue, I just make sure I have a foot down to pickup the first one, and help with the balance. Seems like the base legs could be a bit wider. Thats the only time I've found a short comming with the bench doing with what it's intended to do. It doesn't do it after you got the first dumbell up or with lighter dumbells. It's really not a big issue, but figured'd I'd be picky :p .

I would probably only be using dumbbells on it, so it sounds like it will work for me. I also noticed that the upright position basically puts you sitting upright. I wonder if I can drill another hole to allow for an intermediate upright angle adjustment?

yeah, the upright really should say "Straight up".. lol

I guarantee you could dril another hole for another postion...

I have had the same bench for a couple of months now and it works great for dumbbell workouts.

I will note that after a couple of months I needed to re-tighten the bolts at each of the feet. Not a big deal really, just something to be aware of if it feels like it isn't quite as stable as it was.
