John, I have two questions for you, but since English is not my first language, I'm not quite sure how to make you understand the problem. I'll try anyway. Several times - like 6 or so - the last three days a message has popped up on my computer saying (in Norwegian) that something wrong has come up, and the program has to shut down. This only happens when I'm on your forums, and it's only these who shut down. Does any other have this problem?

Another thing is that when I touch the mouse on one of the hreads I'd like to read, it turns red, but very often i have to touch it once or twice again before the thread comes up. Since the headline turnes red, I can't understand that it's just my computer that is slow. I have something that is supposed to make the computer work faster. (Scandinavian guys, you probably can help me out with the English word for it.)

I'm the first to admit: I'm not an athlete, and I do not know anything about computers :o

By the way; great english class you had, have always wondered about the i.e. and e.g. ! Wonderfully many different things your forums are of use for :tu:

Sounds like you are running Windows. I hate to tell you this, but what you describe could be caused by about a million different things, and would be almost impossible to troubleshoot by exchanging messages in a forum, especially since you "don't know anything about computers". :(

Aside from the usual (scanning for viruses and worms and so on), you should probably have the computer looked at by a knowledgeable friend, relative or a computer repair shop in your area.

Putting your mouse over a link on this site will turn the link red, if you have to click it multiple times for it to "register", then it could be a faulty mouse, or even something else related to your O/S (Windows).

No doubt about it your computer is sick, I think you should take it to the "doctor". :)

Glad I could at least help with a little English lesson. :) Sorry I could not be of more assistance with your computer. Good luck with it.

It's a windows problem I would say. If you are using Internet Explorer think about checking out mozilla. http://www.mozilla.org much better browser with not as much mess-ups and security flaws as IE.

John: I wouldn't say take it to a repair shop, they cost a lot of money for something that could be fixed with most likely just reinstalling windows (A friend could do it if they knew), or reinstalling IE/installing a new browser. A repair shop would rip the pockets off her.

Yeah. There is bound to be someone who knows a bit about computers or something.

I remember I brought my PC to the repair man back when I knew nothing, they charged me £30 for opening the case itself, I eventually had to learn how to do it myself it got that pricey.

Thank you very much for your time and answers. The computer was bought last fall, so I think it's a little early for it to get "sick", but anyway I'll get a freind to look at it  . However, this only happens on your forums, John.
Have a nice day :db:
