I'm having a hard time meeting my daily calorie intake without my ration being strongly weighted towards carbs or fats. Are they any decent calorie (100-200) snacks/foods that can be kept un-refrigerated (75% of my awake time is spent at work, hence thats when I eat) that aren't loaded with carbs or fats??
Tuna and Cottage Cheese are not options (no fridge). Right now I have oranges and bananas and granola bars and pretzels, but those really bulk up the carb numbers.
Thanks

At least the canned tuna I buy ('http://forums.johnstonefitness.com/showthread.php?t=514') doesn't need to be kept cold.... what kind of tuna are you buying?

Good point. I always view Tuna in its edible form as "Tuna with some no fat mayo" in which the mayo has to be in the fridge.
Maybe I'll try some other Tuna concoctions.

Sometimes I use a small cooler with some ice packs. It's usually good enought to keep the food cool.

Then again, as you can see from that thread, I'm not alone in goin straight from the can!

Tuna/Samon - If you dont have a can opener get the kind in the fresh sealed pack
Whey mixed with water
Nuts - peanuts, etc.
Protein bar - some do have a high amount of carbs too but at least you will get a better mix of protein. You can even replace the granola bar you are eating.
I heard they sell turky jerky.
Or maybe even beef jerky. I only ate this once on vacation to keep my calories down and protein up. I figured it was better then the chips and candy everyone else was eating
