When I wake up, my lower part of my gut (below the belly button) is flat but throughout the day it starts to bloat. I know it has to do with me eating and all, because after cardio its gone again but is there any way to prevent the bloating or is it natural?

Make sure you're drinking plenty of water or your body will start to retain it which can cause you to bloat. How do you know if you're drinking enough...one sure fire way is to look at the color of your urine...clear as a bell or nearly so usually means you're drinking enough. Hope this helps.

Happens to me. Less so now that my weight is really coming down, but I look substantially thinner in the morning. It's pretty much just got to do with the amount of stuff in your stomach, but losing fat will help a lot.

If you are drinking water during meals that can cause bloat. Reason, stomach acid is diluted with liquids and digesting proteins is hindered.

If you are eating high protein and high carbs in the same meal that can cause bloat. Reason, protein needs an acid environment and digests in the stomach whereas carbs digest under alkaline environment in the intestines. Eating both at the same time causes GAS.

If you are eating sugar free stuff that can cause bloat.

If none of the above, you may want to try a cleansing program as your intestines may have too much scum and junk collected over the years.

How do you do a 'cleansing' program?

The same thing happens to me when I first wake up. I swear I look about 15 lbs lighter but w/in 30 min I return to my usual state. Thats w/out eating or drinking anything.
