Yeah full on sushi is best left as a cheat meal due to its high amount of white rice. However, sashimi would fit great into a well balanced diet since it is just fish. If I end up going out to eat on a non-cheat meal day to a nice restaurant I tend to always ordered fish... seared ahi if they have it. I am a sucker for japanese food... it is a good thing good sushi is expensive here cause that way the once a month I can afford to go all out is easily placed on a cheat day for me.
