View Full Version : Lower body getting bigger
Lauren Mon, July 5th, 2004, 04:46 AM It's really weird because my upper body is shrinking, but my lower body is still fat or getting fatter :(
Should I stop working my lower body because it's getting bigger and I'm getting more stretching marks, but in this case will I still be lossing fats from it by just working my upper body plus the cardio?

guava Mon, July 5th, 2004, 02:13 PM Don't trust the mybodycomp figures. My scale reports at least 3% lower than the figures it give me. I've never had it checked, so I'm not sure which is closer to the truth, so I'm trying not to believe either.
It was FIVE months before I achieved any shrinkage at all in my thighs. I hardly worked them at all for the first four months, and it wasn't until I started doing glute kickbacks and dumbbell bench step ups that I really noticed a difference. Probably just a coincidence where I'd finally lost enough fat. It was really hanging on tight.
I balance my upper body lifting about equally with lower now, and I'm pleased with the increased definition I'm achieving in my legs.

You ll have to cut down your carbs a little and up ur protein intake a lot to 40% of ur diet.
Lauren Mon, July 5th, 2004, 02:56 PM It's not that I'm not lossing fats, but my upper body is getting kinda skinny (and I don't want to shrink more) while my lower body is big.
Maybe it's a matter of time ...

That is the way girls are. It is a matter of first on, last off for the most part. I am not sure if your complaint includes breasts, remember they are mostly fat cells. I am sure when all is said and done, you will be happy with results as things even out. Just work all body parts, you can't spot reduce.
