Importing Allthewhey Protein to Germany

Is there anyone who has experience on importing protein from the USA to Germany. The custom office says importing milk product is illegal for personal use. It should be done by pharmacy or you need to go through some special procedures and bla bla bla. I don’t know anything. I have already ordered 12 lbs Allthewhey protein.

Please help!! How can I clear my whey from custom office????

Thanks!!
Arshad

i'd say forget about ordering your whey from the states. the money you can safe because of the cheaper proteins you'll have to pay entirely for shipping costs and the like.
if you want some sources for cheap protein, that sometimes even tastes good ;) i can post some links.

schön hier mal jemanden zu treffen, der wenigstens die gleiche sprache spricht :claplow:

Danke, Butch! Aber das bestellte Molkeprotein ist schon bei Zollamt, Stuttgart. muß ich abholen ..... :d_frown:

after reading the following link, I am really afraid.

For 12 lbs Isolate I paid 112 Dollar including shipping. If they dispatch to me, I will be very happy. But don't know how much I have to pay for custom tax!!!

Anyway, let me know the links for cheap whey Isolate.

Thank you again :)

112$ for less than 3kg really is insane.
i hope you can get your protein or this was one really expensive journey to the customs office.

so here are some links for ordering protein supplements in germany:

http://www.body-attack.de/
they have their own product line with some really well tasting proteins. lately they got instant whey which can be mixed very easily, i haven't tested it yet though.

http://www.body-town.de/
the ceapest store i know. you can get 750g of whey for 11,50€. although i have to admit that its taste is not overwhelming. very cheap l-glutamin, too.

www.fitness24.de
quite expensive but they offer many different imported proteins.

i have ordered from all of these shops so far and never had any problems.

viel erfolg beim zollamt. schreib doch bitte mal wie es gelaufen ist, würde mich echt mal interessieren.

Thank you very much for the links, Butch.
yes, I agree. It's expensive. 12 lbs is equal to 5.45 kg. So per kg price is $20.50 or 17 Euro. But it is whey Isolate. And its protein content is 88%, almost no fat and less than 1 gram carb per serving (28.4 grams). Digestion time is the lowest among all protiens. So it is excellent as Postworkout drink.

Almost similar whey protein "Body Attack Ultra Whey - 4x750g" costs 61 Euro or 20 Euro per kg (without shipping). But with 82% protein, 6% fat and 4% carb. But you are right, Butch, Body Attack is really cheap in Germany. Thanks again.

I used to buy from
http://www.get-wellness.de
(Powerman and Multipower) and from ebay.

Tomorrow, I will go to Zollamt. Allthewhey told me, they had sent all necessary documents with the packet. last month Zollamt didn't dispatch a packet (XENADRINE NRG) to me. They said, "its not legal"!!!! I bought that from www.bodybuilding.com. (Do you use any supplement or gel to cut fat?)

Anyway, I'll let you know about Zollamt exprience tomorrow.

the 6% fat or 4% carbs don't bother me. i don't really think that's much of a difference. as i'm using dextrose in my pwo-shake i don't mind the few extra carbs :)
i haven't seen any whey-isolate in germany so far...

http://www.get-wellness.de
is a nice page, thanks for the link. but i'm not so sure about ordering food items via ebay. maybe from bigger companies but definitely not from private persons.

all i use is protein-powders und L-glutamine as i don't believe in products like the one you mentioned. but this is just me :tu:

I went to custom office today. Unfortunately, they didn't give me the packet. The custom officer opened the packet in front of me. Then she wanted the Import document. But allthewhey didn't send such document. Then I said, on the level, you can read, it is whey protein not medicine. But she was not convinced. Anyway, she told me, I have to prove that the container does not contain any medicine and also she wants the Import document. I hope, I can manage it.

Well, I use Powerman whey for bedtime shake. Its really cheap. And the whey isolate as postworkout drink. "Multipower super whey 100" is whey isolate, 700 gram container costs 28 to 32 Euro.

http://www.24-sporternaehrung.de/index_700_g_dose_super_formula_100.html

There is another V-E-R-Y good :tu: isolate from peak. price is also the same.

http://www.peak.ag/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=40&products_id=192

But in ebay its cheaper.

Well, if I could clear out the packet from custom office, I will have to pay all together 20% custom tax. In that case, it would cost 20 Euro per kg. That's why I thought of buying isolate from the USA.

By the way, how do you eat Harzerkäse? :eat:
I haven't yet found fatless cottage cheese (Frischkäse) in Stuttgart. :d_mad:

I am on cutting phase!! :bb:

With Pumpernickel and lots of mustard (i hate the taste of Harzer :))

I haven't yet found fatless cottage cheese (Frischkäse) in Stuttgart. :d_mad:

Try it in an "Extra"Store. There is a 1,8%fat Cottage cheese (called "fitline" or something)
