Hey everybody,
I've been lurking around the boards for about 4 months now and I thought it was time I finally made my first post (and get some useful info while I'm at it).
A little bit about me: I was thin up until I was about 7 years old when my grandparents immigrated from Romania to live with us and began overfeeding me (overfeeding offspring is a trend I'm noticing among Eastern Europeans). Was chunky and dealt with the usual teasing and insults in school until about 8th grade when I started playing ice hockey and lost some of the flab. Remained fairly stable at 5'8" and 164 lbs until mid-January 2004 at which point I decided that I was tired of having a flabby chest and stomach and that I was going to do something about it. Dietwise, started off with 2 weeks of Atkins but moved to more of a clean-eating diet that seems prevalent on the boards here. As for exercise, I've been weight training 3 days per week and doing HIIT on my elliptical the other days along with 1.25-hour hockey games once or twice a week (BTW would this count as 8-9 workouts/week for calcuating BMR?). Six months later, I'm down to around 144 lbs but I know I've still got some work to do before I'm down to ~8% body fat.
I was hoping you could all help me out with an estimate of my body fat so I can figure out where I am and how much farther I have to go. I was hoping to be cut before heading off to the beach for a week at the very end of July-beginning of August but after seeing this photo come out, I don't see it happening anymore. I thought I could see at least my top two abs. Guess not.
