Hey everybody, I just started my new routine this week which is:
New flex and warm up for each day which I plan to follow for at least 2 months, so I'm alot more conditioned and can begin my real training on top of this one:
5-10 minutes of 3/4 jump rope than 30 seconds on 1 foot then on the other than alternating as fast as I can and repeating this for 5 minutes.
Then flexibility:
Sidebends
Rotation
Toe Touch
Yoga stretch
Hamstring Stretch Seated
Kneeling Hip Flexor Stretch
Kneeling Hamstring Stretch
Bent-Knee Groin Stretch
front splits
side splits
Monday:
Free weight session (20 min max)
Interval Training, 1000m at 90% , repeat 10 times.
Tuesday:
1 hour of moderate jogging, with a minimum of 5 incline.
Wednesday:
Light free weight session
1 hour of moderate jogging, with a minimum of 5 incline.
Thursday:
Interval Training, 1000m at 90% , repeat 10 times.
Friday:
Free weight session
1-2 hours of moderate jogging, with a minimum of 5 incline except the last half I go alot faster than usual
Saturday and Sunday rest.
I was just wondering what your rhr are after your routine and for the rest of the day. This is a brand spanking new workout for me but for the past month and a half have been following a sedentary exercise running 30 minutes a day at 85% with no warm up or flexibility exercise either. I missed Monday's workout though So I started the intervals yesterday and did my first hour today. I think my rhr was a little higher than usual to begin with this morning because I can feel a mild discomfort whenever my rhr is over 80%. Its been almost 2 hours since my routine and my rhr has been consistentley 88-92 for the past 2 hours. Whats the deal? My rhr for the last 2 weeks at least was around 60 and it felt good. I've been infront of the computer for the past 2 hours btw.
