View Full Version : Super Bowl Damage
CuttinKing2183 Mon, February 2nd, 2004, 04:38 PM Today, after consuming a ton of water to make up for all the drinking and eating (21st birthday party), I weighed in at an unbelievable 210.5. Amazing how much of that will disappear in the next 12 hours. When I weigh in tomorrow morning, I will pry be 203-204. Anybody else have any horror stories.
P.S. For that to be all fat, that is one hell of a lot of calories.
pSs - I sure did have fun though!!!
Mahdimael Mon, February 2nd, 2004, 04:56 PM I had about 10 little BBQ chicken wings. Would have been ok, I think, except I ate the skin on them too, which was not good. Tasted good, though
BillS Mon, February 2nd, 2004, 05:00 PM Sounds like fun and congrats on surviving 21!
I really didnt go overboard too far during the superbowl.. but I still felt like I was cheating like hell.. one beer (corona), a couple of chips with guac.., etc. There was a ton of stuff on the table, but I managed to stay with the veggie platter and the pretzel bowl. I also had a lemon square and a peice of chocolate cake...no frosting and almost felt guilty.
Not exactly my usual superbowl.. hotwings, cheese and chilli dip.. lotsa beers.. but I still got up early and did a good hiit session on the cardiomax bike.
jtelling Mon, February 2nd, 2004, 05:19 PM I gotta say, Superbowl Sunday went well for me and my party troupe. I know I ate things that were outside of my normal meals, but honestly, everything was FAR better than what I used to eat. my brother-in-law made jambalaya (very spicy) so I had some of that along with some bean dip and spinach / artichoke dip. everything was had in moderation (I didn't go nuts) and I went without alcohol in favor of diet cherry coke and water.
with my control yesterday, my weigh in this morning went well. I'm down 10 lbs from my original weigh in on January 12th. very happy about that. in celebration, I'm going to have a nonfat mocha without whip cream :)
andi Mon, February 2nd, 2004, 05:20 PM 1/2 a slice of pizza, 3 small rounds of French bread smeared with Boursin cheese, a nonalcoholic beer, a Cherry Coke, and THREE CUPCAKES!!!
I was surprised to find I was only 2 lbs heavier this morning!
BusyChild Mon, February 2nd, 2004, 05:35 PM I had lots of beer, chicken wings, one seafood salad mini roll and these buffalo meatballs which had incredible heat.
I have no regrets what so ever, I had a blast.
Rockman Mon, February 2nd, 2004, 06:02 PM Congrats on turning 21 Cuttinking!
My Superbowl went fairly well. Since I haven't cheated in since starting 3 weeks ago, I went ahead and had 3 slices of pizza and a handful of cornchips. After tallying everything up last night I still came within parameters for macronutrients yesterday. Surprisingly, I put back on 2 lbs for this mornings weigh in. :(
LaynePink Mon, February 2nd, 2004, 06:16 PM I had a mega cheat day for the Super Bowl! I hadn't cheated since I started Jan 1, so I kinda deserved it. I had 7 slices of pizza, a couple wings, and a half-bag of Doritos. I gained about 5 pounds on the scale this morning, but that should be gone within a few days. I don't really see it as something to dwell on, since I'm gonna be sticking with the plan.
seeDerekNow Mon, February 2nd, 2004, 06:19 PM I had some California Pizza Kitchen w/ some wine last sat night (ala Mr. & Mrs. Stone!) and came in 3 lbs heavier the next morning. It was mostly water retention due to all that sodium & alcohol of course. No big deal, we're all allowed to cheat a little on a rare occasion.
Lootrock Mon, February 2nd, 2004, 06:24 PM Hey, happy late birthday CK ;). Yesterday I had 6 soft pretzels throughout the whole day. which cam eup to 42 grams of protein and 6 grams of fat. As far as calories it was a little over 1000. Though that's actually more than I eat, I usually eat half that in one day. I know that's not really healthy :/.
daveo Mon, February 2nd, 2004, 06:27 PM 1/2 a slice of pizza, 3 small rounds of French bread smeared with Boursin cheese, a nonalcoholic beer, a Cherry Coke, and THREE CUPCAKES!!!
I was surprised to find I was only 2 lbs heavier this morning! I didn't cheat at all and came in 1.5lbs heavier this morning
tankhead Mon, February 2nd, 2004, 06:57 PM I had my last 350 calorie meal at 5:00 pm and went to my sister's house with my two daughters. I brought HOT pepperoni, beer, they had Italian hoagies (subs) chips, chicken wings (boneless skinless), wine, dips, pretzels.......................................... .................................I

I drank water the entire time. Everyone kept asking me how I have the will power. I said well, when all of you are sitting by my pool complaining how you look in you summer wear I will be the one with nine percent body fat and loving it. They did not like that answer. BTW I was a half a pound lighter this morning. I am a freak and I love it.
Championlifter88 Mon, February 2nd, 2004, 07:23 PM i had so much pizza i wanted to throw up
HobbesAB Mon, February 2nd, 2004, 07:28 PM starting yesterday afternoon: 10 cookies (1000), 20 oz steak (1200) and 8 oz grilled chicken breast (220), baked potato plain (110), a slice of pie (450), 3 slices Stuffed Crust pizza (1200), and a Meaty P'Zone (1300). 3 ham/turkey sandwiches (700), 1.5 cups of rice (300), 1 can of tuna in olive oil (400). Total calories: guessing about 6900. No alcohol and only drank Diet Pepsi and water. Maintenance calories for me is about 3500 calories per day.
Back on the wagon tomorrow. My SB celebration extended for a day because I felt like it. Trust me - I've done this before and this is well worth it FOR ME. Recharges the ol' batteries and gets me ready for a good week of training.
Calories weren't wasted. Had an awesome workout today and set new personal bests. I cannot wait for a true bulking cycle!
NME Mon, February 2nd, 2004, 07:46 PM First a foremost, a big Happy 21st Birthday to CuttinKing!
Yesterday was my cheat day, and I did just that (to quite an extent, I might add). I enjoyed about 20 wings (old bay, hickory), some brownies, and a plenty of mini pretzels with french onion dip. The thing that really killed me was that I played beer pong with a friend. We did go 2-0 but I still drank the equivalent of approx. 2 beers. Aside from the single Corona I had for my birthday last weekend, it was the first alcohol I have had since Holloween. I'm not a big fan of drinking...I just like playing beer pong (and rarely play, so it was a fun "once in a great while" deal).
Bottom line; I wound up a mere 4lbs. worse for the wear this morning. I was not very upset at all. Of course after today at work (which was a late celebration of my birthday) I am up around 166lbs. but hell, that's a lot of water weight and results from meals throughout the day; again, not a big deal.
Jim Mon, February 2nd, 2004, 07:50 PM Superbowl doesn't exist over here, so I was recovering from a slight hangover, and a sore wrist from the night before ;).
I was def. in the 4000 calorie range Saturday night, but I'm back on track and it didn't add anything to be really.
Kevinp Mon, February 2nd, 2004, 08:39 PM CK - Happy 21st! That was a long time ago for me. Thanks for bringing back good memories.
Tankhead - you big freak! (actually I'm just jealous of your willpower). ;)
I had 6 hot wings and a few pieces of chocolate and gained just over a pound.
Loved the game!

funtax Mon, February 2nd, 2004, 10:10 PM Luck was on my side this year. My father's new wife is only capable of making terrifying "cassarole" dishes that require very little will power to avoid. As such, despite the massive quantity of cheese and meat-based products that were served, the celery was by far the most palatable food available.
Therefore, my advice to all dieters is to surround yourself with people who have no business being within 500 yards of a kitchen. This guarantees that your most basic survival instincts will kick in and head off any potential binges before they even get started.
CuttinKing2183 Mon, February 2nd, 2004, 11:26 PM Thanks for all the support and congratulations...
Here is what I had...as best as I can remember...
1 slice of Italian Rum cake
5 Chocolate Chip Cookies
1 cup Party Mix
3 3" turkey wraps
3 small chicken fingers
crackers with cheese
1 mini-eclair (mini-mini)
1 Cup Deer Chili
4 shots Goldschlager
7 Beers
2 Jack's 'n Diet Vanilla Cokes (?!?!?)
It looks like a ton of food but spaced out over 7 hours -- it's not too bad I guess.
CuttinKing2183 Mon, February 2nd, 2004, 11:42 PM My weigh in before bedtime is 207.5 -- I surprisingly lost 3 lbs. in 5 hours. It's amazing how the weight and bloating disappears. I should weigh in at 203 or 204 tomorrow morning, which will be fine.
Today's Meals
Meal #1
Shake with multivitamin/fat burner
Meal #2
Banana/1 cup skim milk/protein shake
Meal #3
12 oz Cajun Catfish with 1/2 cup green beans
Meal #4
Banana
Meal #5
1/2 cup Cottage Cheese
haven97 Tue, February 3rd, 2004, 07:57 AM I drank 6-7 beers and ate about 4 boneless chicken wings, and some type of burrito thing with chicken(ate only half). I was so full from drinking all the beer even thought I wanted to eat a ton of food I couldnt. I ate smaller meals (150-200cals each) during the day so that I could eat big that night. Anyway it was a good time. I only gained 1 pound but I lost it the next day.
Can't wait for next year!
-------------------------------
Next year superbowl goals:
9% body fat
50" TV
and the Pats of course
Super Fink Tue, February 3rd, 2004, 08:31 AM Happy Bday Cuttingking!
I didn't cheat on the superbowl...Everyone was chomping on burgers, hotdogs, chips, dips, etc... I had my normal calorie intake - I was so proud of myself that I almost cheated the next day HAHA! I still haven't cheated since I started and prob wont have a "cheat" meal until Valentines day...
For all of you that cheated and got right back on the wagon - GOOD FOR YOU!!!! Thats the toughest thing...after you cheat to not eat more!
