I saw in another post that dude was eating the same thing everyday and planned to continue doing so. In the interests of sanity I have an idea you can do:

1. Get some 3x5 cards.
2. Using your spreadsheets etc. plan out a complete day's food.
3. Write it on the card.
4. Do 2-3 weeks worth of cards with as much variety as you can.
5. On Saturday draw out 7 cards from the lottery and go buy the stuff you need for that week's meals.
6. You can use magnets and put the cards up on the fridge to remind yourself or punch in your results to the spreadsheet.

If you did it right each one you draw will have the right cals and nutrients for a complete day's meals. So for me each card would have enough food listed for 1800 cals at 40/40/20. Just an idea. If you're bored eating the same stuff let lady luck decide.

Just a note for those who are going to skim and flame:
I said put the WHOLE days worth of meals on one card not individual meals.

That's an interesting way of deciding what to eat. I might try it.

I said put the WHOLE days worth of meals on one card not individual meals. I've done basically the same thing using my spreadsheet (http://forums.johnstonefitness.com/showthread.php?t=319). I've got whole days planned out and just pick one the night before -- making substitutions as needed (so long as they fit in the diet).

Works well enough, serves as an easy diary, and I don't have to buy those expensive 3x5 cards ;)
