Providing it fits within my alotted macro ratios, does anybody see a problem with eating too much oatmeal in 1 day? By too much, I mean 2 cups or so throughout the day. For some reason I have been craving it lately and eat it 3-4 times a day. I havent noticed any stalling or anything, so I'm pretty sure it's cool(I think I just answered my own question :D)

I don't know how many days in a row you've done that, but I should warn you that eventually all the soluble fiber in that oatmeal will reach critical mass if you keep scarfing it down in large quantities. Once the soluble fiber reaches critical mass.... well, let's just say that "regularity" will be the last issue you want to ever hear about again.

And that's from personal experience. :spaz:

But if you can digest that much oatmeal without any problems, then go for it until you're sick of it, I say...

Oatmeal is not the lowest calorie food in the world (not that it's high, it's just not low :p ), and on a cutting diet, I'd recommend more fruits and vegetables instead of oatmeal. I think you'd be better able to meet your vitamin and mineral requirements that way. If you're bulking, eating plenty of vegetables, and looking for extra calories, that's another story.

Without going into detail, that explains alot!

Good point about the vitamins and minerals. I make sure to incorporate at least 3 servings of fruits and vegetables per day, I just seem to come short of my caloric goals and use oatmeal to "bump it up" so to speak.

I too LOVE oatmeal and have anywhere from 3/4 to 2 cups (uncooked) per day. I've had no issues with it, it's one of the best sources of carbs you can have.

For bulking I would often have 2 cups of oatmeal in a single meal. For cutting, I had no issues with 1 cup in the mornings and then focusing on fruit and vegetables throughout the rest of the day.
