I like the background as well. You'll have to make a short description on how you made it in photoshop!! Duckman Tue, June 22nd, 2004, 08:44 AM 1. Select a cool font, HUGE, like 150px 2. Type something 3. With the magic wand, select what you've written 4. Make a new layer 5. The new layer should now have the same selected area as your text. 6. Fill it with #ECD4B4 Now it's time to add the gold effect: 1. choose bevel and emboss(I use PS7, so it's under Blending Options here) 2: Use these settings: Under Structure: - Style: Inner bevel - Technique: Smooth - Depth: 211 - Size: 7 - Soften: 1 Under Shading: - Angle: 144, Altitude: 30 - Gloss contour: ring (hover your mouse to get tha names) - Highlight mode: Difference, Opacity 47, color white - Shadow mode: Darken, Opacity 49, color black It should have a gold look to it by now. I also added some Gradient overlay and Drop shadow: Drop shadow: - Blend Mode: Multiply - Opacity: 75 - Distance: 5 - Spread: 0 - Size: 5 Gradient overlay: - Blend mode: Normal - Opacity: 100 - Gradient ECD4B4 to white - Style: Linear This should add some shadow and a silverish shine at the top: http://dev.hipercom.no/sverre/bling/solvgull.jpg To add the diamonds, do the following: - Go to images.google.com, find a pic of a diamond, make a pattern in PS. - Make a selection as in the pic below: http://dev.hipercom.no/sverre/bling/selection.jpg - Make a new layer, keeping the selection and fill the new layer selection with the diamonds: http://dev.hipercom.no/sverre/bling/filling.jpg ...and finally, go nuts with the lense flare(yes, LENS FLARES  ) to make your bling shine! see? easy :gl: Fudgam Tue, June 22nd, 2004, 11:20 AM Pimp Smiley!!! badgolfer Tue, June 22nd, 2004, 12:24 PM Pimp Smiley!!! I had two growing up, with my parents, and neither lived more than 6 years. So many health problems, lots of inbreeding, etc. I spent over a year researching breeders before getting this one ("Zack"), and I found someone pretty reputable. He's on all raw diet, etc. so hopefully I will have better luck. Even if I didn't though, I couldn't resist the breed; they have too much love. :) Thanks! Chris Duckman Fri, June 25th, 2004, 05:01 AM was playing with PS today and came up with this... http://dev.hipercom.no/sverre/psfun/scream.jpg Shadow12 Fri, June 25th, 2004, 05:39 AM Since we are posting what we can do. Frame created in wings, rendered in swift3d and touched up in photoshop. Duckman Fri, June 25th, 2004, 05:58 AM Nice...maybe a bit too "artificial", but nice. I'm looking for some tutorials on how to make dew on a mirror...any ideas? Shadow12 Fri, June 25th, 2004, 06:15 AM You mean water droplets? I am guessing draw the shape of a droplet then bevel it and give it a silveryblue colour then try to make it shine(how I am not exactly sure). simon.karlsson Fri, June 25th, 2004, 08:27 AM HAHA ducks you should take a visit to www.thugfashion.com (http://www.thugfashion.com) itīs the tackiest bling you could ever get, and itīs cheap!. haha Or what do you think about this http://www.thugfashion.com/Images/Watches/Images/geneva366.jpg I mean you could even apply to become a member of G-unit if you have that :) Big Dave Starbuck Fri, June 25th, 2004, 10:06 AM Hey Dave - Very cool to hear, and WOW about a 13 year old dalmatian! Her vet says he's never seen such a heathly Dal before.. With proper diet she should live to be 15 or 16 (I hope). She is a typical Dal, hard headed, doesn't listen all the time (she blames her bit of deafness, after all she is a senior). I'll never own another dog after she passes, because no dog is her equal :tu: . I think the key to her longivity is that when we lived in Maine, she ran around free, no fences, no leash etc. As soon as I moved down to Florida, she developed skin allergies and arthritis, because of a lack of free ranging spaces. I took here to the beach once or twice a week but it wasn't enough, and time caught up with her. Oh well, she's still happy and loyal. Good luck with Zack.. -BD BusyChild Fri, June 25th, 2004, 10:46 AM Here's mine 1FastGTX Sat, June 26th, 2004, 12:45 AM Yeah Perdy is 13 yrs old. I'm happy for you to have had her for so long. I know what you mean about no other dog being her equal too. I felt the same way when my last one died, but Zack is pretty close. I love the breed. Hard headed, yep! But very loyal and loving. Extremely smart too, though some wouldn't believe. Kodi was opening the fridge and getting his own treats all the time, and I used to take him to schools and teach classes about caring for animals (after school programs). He was amazing. BTW I am in Florida too (Orlando). Where are you at? We have a dalmatian discussion forum I belong to as well, if you're interested, for people around central Florida. Thanks for the kind words and good luck to you both too. :) Big Dave Starbuck Sun, June 27th, 2004, 09:53 AM Hi BD - That's great news about Perdy. I'm happy for you to have had her for so long. Perd does that whenever shes done something bad or is thinking about doning something bad. I wish I had a picture but she won't sit still when I get the camera out. Guns and cameras make her nervous, why I don't know she's been around both most of her life. What's the url for the dalmation forum, I'd like to check it out... Thanks, BG Collegefour Mon, June 28th, 2004, 08:02 AM Here is a pic I did of my car for a car forum. simon.karlsson Mon, June 28th, 2004, 04:14 PM Damn!, I need to learn photoshop better... Thats one thing on the list of things to do whenever I have the time in the future. I am truly amazed over alot of peoples creations using the program. Hereīs something I did for my mum last night. Weīre finally painting our house from 1933 (doesnīt seem as anyone has been bothered painting it ever since :) ), after 10 years of fixing up the inside. She needed help on what front door to choose and colors etc. Kinda fun to look into the future like this.. hope it turns out like int he picture. http://home.rixtele.com/~simonkarlssonUF/beforeafterhus.jpg Duckman Mon, June 28th, 2004, 04:44 PM ...ok...if that is an oak door, use oil only. Do not hide it behind paint...please?? simon.karlsson Mon, June 28th, 2004, 04:47 PM ...ok...if that is an oak door, use oil only. Do not hide it behind paint...please?? Hehe!, No I wouldnīt!! :) The old door is not original with the house, but was put in sometime early 1960īs. It is everything but oak hehe!. itīs made out of some tacky plywood painted beige or something that was popular back then. My mum wanted to get a red door to match with the windows on the sides. however a new oak door has been put up for discussion. It would look exellent, hehe. there is a slight difference in price though. Is there anyway in photoshop to get things look wooden??... Iīd love to see what an oak door would look like :) Duckman Mon, June 28th, 2004, 04:51 PM My house is from mid 30ies, and the front door is solid oak, almost identical to the door in your moms house. I've used Owatrol oil on it, and it's absolutely awesome. The texture and glow of old wood simply cannot be compared to new doors. If it works, oil it. if it doesn't, then fix it;) simon.karlsson Wed, June 30th, 2004, 04:45 AM My house is from mid 30ies, and the front door is solid oak, almost identical to the door in your moms house. I've used Owatrol oil on it, and it's absolutely awesome. The texture and glow of old wood simply cannot be compared to new doors. If it works, oil it. if it doesn't, then fix it;) Yeah I totally agree with you on that one. The problem with this house is that it was built to be a school. When we moved in here most rooms were the size of regular classrooms. About 400 square meters (4306 sq feet)totally, but only 5 rooms. Since it was abit too big to be a villa, and too small to remain school, it came as a very cheap market value. What we have done is that weīve devided some of the rooms up, but kept the same original 1930s style everywhere (exept the kitchen). Since it was used as a school up until 1985 or something alot of things where replaced during that time period. Polished oakfloors where covered up with plastic carpets and walls painted orange and stuff like that, which only makes one sad too look at. But weīre finished fixing up the inside, keeping as much original as possible, including the oak and stone floors. The front door was replaced sometime during the 1960īs. Originally there must have been a double front door like in my animation, however they put in a plywood cheap ass ugly door that was single with a non matching glass window in the middle. Perhaps itīs hard to tell from the image, but I can tell you if you look closer youīll come across something very misplaced. I have been trying to look around for well kept second hand double oak doors from the same timeperiod, but havenīt found one. Iīll post some pictures once the door has been replaced :) . simon.karlsson Wed, June 30th, 2004, 04:57 AM Here's mine hahaha!, Exellent work, I didnīt notice the one with G.W Bush before, it looks hilarious!!!.
