I just finished 8 weeks of training Max-OT style. I've made significant gains in strength as well as lean mass (8 lbs.). Now that this is my week off, I was wondering if it's true as the Max-OT principles state, that you actually come back bigger and stronger after the week off?

I wasn't following Max-OT exactly, but a while back I took a week off and when I came back my old weight *felt* heavier but despite this I was able to do an even heavier weight.

I could DB bench 65's three times and not get 70's up at all. When I came back exactly two weeks later, I was able to not only get 70's up but bench them three times. So, a week off worked for me!

That is EXACTLY what happened to me after my week off. I actually had to lower the weight for a few lifts. The week after returning, all was good and my progress continued. The week off had a positive mental effect. I was motivated as hell to return back to the gym. I actually had a hard time sleeping the night before out of exitement, lol.

I kept everything nutrition wise the same, with the exception of getting rid of my PWO shake.
