Workout
Sunday - 50 Min Elevated treadmill (feel I'm not ready for the HIIT program yet and the elevation feels amazing on my calves),
Monday - Weight Training - back & biceps
Tuesday - 50 Min Elevated treadmill, Abs (crunches/reverse crunches)
Wednesday - Weight training: quads, calves, hamstrings
Thursday - 50 Min Elevated treadmill, Abs (crunches/reverse crunches)
Friday - Weight training: pecs, delts, triceps
Saturday - 30 min Treadmill (figure just to get the body warmed up and going) , Abs (crunches/reverse crunches)
Daily Meal
1st - Egg Beaters, Toast, Whey shake, Omega 3, 6, 9 pill, Glucomsamine pill, daily vitamin
Workout
2nd - Vector bar( Are these thing alright for me?), OJ juice
3rd - Brown Rice, Peas and/or corn , Omega 3, 6, 9 pill, Glucomsamine pill, Whey Shake?
4th (supper)- Chicken with salad, Paul Newmans Family Italian Dressing, Omega 3, 6, 9 pill, Glucomsamine pill, Whey Shake?
Now for the training part, I basically just stole Mr. Stone's plan and start with that and develop/tweak it to my own liking.
As for Diet, I have a couple of questions/concerns. First, I don't eat fruit or fish. Next up, when is the best time to take the protein shake and how many times? Are the Vector bars doing me any good or is it just too good to be true? Is there any other suppliments I should be taking or perhaps ones that can make up for my lack of fruit and fish? Last but not least, will I lose weight on this?
My basic stats:
22 Years Old
6'
185 lbs
Thanks for all the help guys. I've been tempted to try these lose weight fast things but I've listened to you guys and it just sounds like the long term solution is really the only solution. Thank you again

Do you have the macronutrient (carbs/protein/fat) breakdown for your meals? Do you only have one meal plan? Do you care about that? Personally I'd go nuts eating the same thing everday, hence the spreadsheet and various options that fit within the diet.
You'll definetly lose weight -- the real question is if you'll lose fat!
Chad Ferguson Sun, February 1st, 2004, 03:49 AM Thank you for the quick reply. I should have been a little more in depth on this. As for taking down calorie intake, carbs and all that. I don't plan on it. I'd rather just eat something I know is good for me and good for what I want to achieve. Also, if anyone has any suggestions as to what I can mix things up with that would great. Personally, I just made a list of something I think I could eat everyday just cause I know I like these items. You brought up a great point that I totally missed as well. Will this help me loss fat? What else can I do to improve this? What's a good side kick for the egg beaters? Are there any bars out there that are actually good for you?

This is where the calorie counting you don't want to do comes in handy :D You can figure out how many calories you need, then figure out how to get them. Of all the sites I've read, all of them say that fat loss is made primarily in the kitchen, the other 20% is made in the gym.
I know it's a pain, but it'll pay off if you put a little up-front investment in.
Oh, and ditch the bars. Eat some real food ;)

The ONLY reason to keep the bars is if it is for sanity-keeping purposes. They act as my 'treat' for the day basically, while also doubling as a meal. Sure, I could eat a chicken breast or something instead, but by God I have to trick myself into eating something 'sweet'.
If you can handle losing the bars then I would definately get rid of them though.

do you eat vegetables?
I like to grill up chicken breasts and chop them up and put them in a salad with no dressing. Sometimes i'll just grill a bnless sknless chicken boob and cut it into slices and eat it. Pretty tasty :)

I was thinking about doing a stir fry every once and a while. But right now i know I missing important vitamins and stuff with the lack of fruit in my diet. So that's a big whole in my diet right now. A well as finding at least 5 meals that I can eat every day, plus find more variety. I haven't even looked it up but I just assume a burger patti or hot dog is bad for you. Steak perhaps once in a while. How many people here would count your shakes as one of your meals?

dont use ranch.
2 tsp of virgin olive oil with some vinegear
can reduce the absorption of the entire meal by 30%
IE, slower slin/digestion.. keep fuller longer, more controlled insulin release.. not to mention healthy fat :)

but some vegetables like broccoli provide twice as much fiber if cooked. at least according to an article in Men's Health. but i hear ya.. aside from a few choice vegetables that i prefer cooked.. i'd rather eat them raw. i'm a sucker for cucumbers in balsamic vinegar lately :D
