Im not really sure where to start, so ill start with my information.

Im a 19 year old male. I am 6' 0'' tall. I weigh 152 pounds. I have ectomorph (really thin) body type. and medium frame type. I eat a great deal of food from wendy's on a daily basis (regular order is 1/2 lb cheeseburger, super size french fries, and a large coke). I generally will gain weight but, within like 2 days the weight seems to be gone again (a 1 or 2 pound fluctuation). I do not do any workout activity, or anything. I am entirely sedentary.

Ive read everything on this message board, and alot of other websites, and mostly every source that ive read contradicts another source. I just need particular information on what i should do.

What id like to do:

Im tired of having "girl sized" arms, and in general a small physique. I dont really want to be the next arnold S. or anything but i would like ot maybe be a little more sizeable. I just want to be a normal sized guy, and not be so tiny.

I dont know if i should join a gym, or buy equipment. I dont know what equipment to buy if i should buy equipment. In the past time when i went to a gym (as a guest) i couldnt even bench press 60 lbs (including the bar which was like 50).

With that being said, im tired of just thinking about doing it, so i want to start doing something, but i want it to be the right thing.

Ive read all the websites that i can find and they are all different, so now im going to look for peoples advice in real time.

I dont know if i need to do cardio at all because im already so thin. I dont know where to buy anything, ive read about bowflex and all this other stuff, and the more stuff i read the farther away from starting it seems i get.

I appreaciate the time and advice that you can provide and the time you took to go through this poorly constructed message

Andrew if this doesn't help you I don't know what will. Anthony Ellis is probably the bizzaro you. He's exactly like you and look at his results. I think you'll get some useful info from his site.

Hi Andrew

Your at the stage where you must get into the gym and experiment. One reason why at lot of information is contradictory is because different methods work for different people and because there is some dodgy info out there.

I'd reccomend joining a gym because its cheaper in the beginning and you have a larger range of equipment.

Just start off slowly doing 12-15 reps and make sure you develop perfect form. Then you can increase the weight and lower the reps. Just concentrate on compound exercises and use mostly free weights.

Don't do cardio and eat heaps of protein.

If you've read up on it you should be able to design yourself a program.

The bottom line is just get in the gym and before long you will know what works best for you. After about three months you should try Max OT because that if one of the best ways around to put on mass.

good luck mate,

Marcus
