Razor Sat, January 31st, 2004, 09:57 PM Yeah, that's the article I stole the image from. I was reminded of it while talking to someone earlier, so I dug up the link and posted the picture. Mahdimael Sun, February 1st, 2004, 12:07 PM How about a Western Bacon Six Dollar Burger combo from Carl's Jr? In order: Calories, Fat, Cholesterol, Sodium The Western Bacon Six Dollar Burger 1080, 62,137, 2449mg French Fries Large 621,29,0,377 That's a good lunch, right? freelancer Sun, February 1st, 2004, 02:08 PM wow, i cant believe that. You know it was a year ago when i started on my weight loss journy, with Weight Watchers, and i started learning to read and look at the lables. I would probably have eaten something like that before, but now the first think i do is look at lables and i cant beleive some of the stuff i see. wh0rume Wed, August 16th, 2006, 04:55 PM  GRCRYSTYK Wed, August 16th, 2006, 08:32 PM WOW!!! Double   >>>---> Maxzeus Wed, August 16th, 2006, 09:04 PM Then they wonder why people are getting heavier each year in this country. Thanks to foods like this and others we will not mention... Ever really take a look at people. I was at my local chiro office today and counted 12 people in the waiting room, 9 of which were at least 50 lbs overweight. Kind of sad. Hort Wed, August 16th, 2006, 09:23 PM That's pretty crappy! Though I'm currently eating about 44g fat for breakfast right now, daily. :tu: punkchip Thu, August 17th, 2006, 12:35 AM Then they wonder why people are getting heavier each year in this country. Thanks to foods like this and others we will not mention... Ever really take a look at people. I was at my local chiro office today and counted 12 people in the waiting room, 9 of which were at least 50 lbs overweight. Kind of sad. It's because of a virus, intestinal flora, or genetics I tell ya. MGB Thu, August 17th, 2006, 01:28 AM That seems outrageous, and then you realize people all over the world are eating that much fat, and that many calories, in one meal, all the time!!!! Example: McDonalds. Everyone knows BigMacs have a lot of calories, so imagine you're going to "be good" and order chicken. 5 piece chicken strips = 630 calories Ranch dipping sauce = 200 calories Medium Fry = 380 calories Medium shake = 550 calories That's 1,760 calories. Okay, so exchange the lower cal Quarter pounder NO cheese (420 calories), change the medium fry to a small (250 calories), and replace the medium shake with a medium cola (210 calories), you're DOWN to only 880 calories. This is what people feed their kids all of the time (and usually a shake instead of a coke!). I would have added up all the sugar and fat, but I started to get sick to my stomach looking at this. One moral from this is, that is anyone reading this has kids (that they care about), stop feeding them this junk! I've never seen so much fat in one meal in my life. Fernslinger Thu, August 17th, 2006, 01:40 PM Nice necro there Who :) 2.5 year old thread! Razor Thu, August 17th, 2006, 08:33 PM It's so old I'd forgotten I posted it ;) I still see people eating Hungry Man dinners quite frequently, and I'm often tempted to read the labels and see if they've changed over time. Blob Fri, August 18th, 2006, 10:14 AM I think this beats them all. This is death on a plate! I actually ordered this once, before I got a clue about healthy eating. Even then I couldnt stomach this. 81g fat! 771 f'ing gms of cholesterol! This should come with a defibrilator! The recommended daily amount is less than 2400 mg's, and that particular single meal has over 3700 mg's in it alone! Man, that's terrible. That's not even considering the amount of fats etc... No thanks! No wonder the diet industry is a gagillion dollar industry. |
